- We asked Tom Sturridge (aka Dream of the Endless) and Gwendoline Christie (aka Lucifer Morningstar) to react to their Dream vs. Lucifer fight scene in The Sandman. What we got was... not quite what we expected, but the absolute mania is certainly entertaining. The Sandman, based on Neil Gaiman's DC Comics series of the same name, is now streaming on Netflix.

I love how Tom is playing the main character but off-screen everyone just roasts him endlessly. First Vivienne, now Gwendoline
Gwendoline is far more savage with Tom than Lucifer was with Dream.
Gwendoline is comedy gold! remember watching her GoT interviews and how chaotic they always got
I really like that the "fight" wasnt a vulgar display of power. Instead it was conceptual and depended on being clever
That look on Lucifer's face when she realizes she lost, that combination of anger, frustration, and longing as hope literally dawns behind her. Can we just take a moment to appreciate their excellent acting and the superb directing and effects?
They have such a wierd, nerdy, unapologetic humor I love it
Gwendoline signing off with "see you in hell!" is just perfection
Gwendoline is so snarky, it's actually terrifying if Lucifer was that passively vicious lol
I love how Tom Sturridge is himself when introducing himself and then becomes the sandman when he says Dream of the Endless
Dying to see Gwendoline Christie in some kinda comedy bringing this energy to a character
They are both so chaotic good with golden retriever energy 😂 the difference between Tom and Gwendoline with Dream and Lucifer just makes this more hilarious!

I like how they still roasting each other with words as their real self litreally just like how their characters did in the series.

Tom & Gwendoline had a bigger battle in this reaction than Dream and Lucifer had in the show
One of the many things I like about this scene is how Gwendoline Christie's Lucifer remains stone-still in that pose as the camera pans out to reveal the vibrant green meadow they're standing in, but her eyes are darting around, taking the place in, as if briefly taken aback at the sudden shift. I guess this is Lucifer realizing that Dream has abandoned the offensive approach and become a lot more abstract in his moves, thus upping the stakes. Dream, of course, having a natural advantage in that regard, being the being who reigns over all imagination and all. I think that's why it was neat that they had Lucifer face Dream directly, rather than Choronzon. A mere demon up against the Lord of Stories in a battle of creativity seems like a major mismatch, whereas Lucifer was the most beautiful angel in heaven who tried to conquer all creation and overthrow the Creator.
Tom was made to play this. He is like an encyclopedia of Sandman knowledge.
