  • Description
Cover by Philip Knott, known for his work on IDW's Transformers: Last Bot Standing. Simon Furman, writer of the original Transformers comic series and creator of Marvel's Death's Head, has teamed up with Heavy Metal artist Hector Trunnec to create an all-new Mecha-Masterwork based on the toyline designed by Aaron Thomas. Pathfinders, Pioneers…breaking new ground in the furthest reaches of the galaxy…they are - ASTROBOTS. With the opposing forces on Colony World-1 drawn into their final battle, the human colonists are caught in the middle. As Apollo and Atlas face off, the epic showdown will decide the fates for two great civilizations and perhaps the galaxy as a whole. No matter the outcome, nothing will ever be the same again.

@@darksydeiscomics1891 The ongoing will continue the story from the 5pt mini. It should hit stands sometime this fall. 🙂

Yeah I wasn't a huge fan of this series, how does it compare with the new Transformer comics by Image?

  • @mikefanofGDNgenuinedarksyde703

This miniseries was too slow-paced for 5 issues. The most content, and plot development, seems to be crammed into this issue. Now, yet another cliffhanger of waiting multiple months via the introduction of a compelling, potentially more energetic character. Well, that's lame. Plus, the introduction of the phage seems hasty even if it's necessary to explain Atlus' treacherous, muderous intent towards the current colonists. Maybe you have to seek out any updated info on more of this title on the publisher's homepage, but if there's none to be found...that's also too much like crowdfunding campaigns. Even though it's not my favourite, the new Transformers is certainly more interesting and exciting than this has been. This didn't get philosophical enough to justify its gradual pace. Where's a comic adaptation of Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots, to compensate with? Ah, anyway, thanks for another cover-to-cover, concise review in all honesty, Marinus. Hope you've had a good weekend. On to your next one!

Indeed. The pacing was really off. I have to think about this. There needs to be way more. The main character is more like a side piece.
And why does he wants to control the new created humans? To do what exactly???
yeah true. I had high hopes for this one. Sigh....
Rock em sock em? 😂. Well, i donm't have to review it anymore, because...ther eis no book lol.
Thank you Mike. Have a nice sunday
