I made some “Learning Chunks” on the FiddleHed site to help you do this. These focused exercises contain sheet music, tabs and mp3 snippets to guide you on each step of your fiddle journey.
These and all new lesson pages can be viewed for one week after publication with a FREE trial membership. Check it out here: fiddlehed.com
And after you sign up, I’ll also send you a mini-course of lessons specially designed for your skill level.
Alrighty. Play every day, have fun 😀 and thanks for making music 🙏
Now, go fiddle with it...

Dude...you are so generous and awesome...I am learning fiddle tunes on racked harmonica and guitar. So I am sitting here with a D Hohner getting it 'cause you are going so nice and slow. Bless You!
Great idea. Thanks for the kind words.
Hi! First, I want to thank you for all the amazing lesons, they are really helpfull. I was wondering if you could make a video showing us how to play Jerusalems Ridge
Thank you very much, keep being awesome.
Isabel, did you know we have a FIddleHed Facebook page? There is a request event going on there this week. Go there, look for the post about the request event and list Jerusalem Ridge. If it is in the top five, it might be the next video.
Isabel, did you see the posting of Jerusalem Ridge Part 1? Cheers.
So my teacher is teaching me to always end an A or B part on an up bow, so that the beginning of the next part always starts on a down bow. Do you find merit in that? Do you ever teach that? I noticed that the last time you play the tune, the B part ends on a down bow (so if you were to go back to the A part you would be starting on an up bow, which he is teaching me not to do).
Do you have a play along to this one?
Several play alongs (different speeds) for this tune are on the Fiddlehed.com website for subscribers. They are not generally available on CZcams. If you are a subscriber, look at lesson 1.8.
