- We travel up highway 395 and camp in Mammoth Lakes at the Twin Lakes Campground. A U.S. Forest Service campground right on the lake. We explore the Mammoth Lakes area and soak up all the natural beauty.

Good video. This campground could be a little "busy" for me.
Yes, during the middle of the summer it can be packed. We were lucky to be there the last week it was open, so it wasn't completely full, but it was cold at night.. I think this is the last campground in the area the shut down, as the others were already closed for the season.
What campsite did you have if you don't mind me asking? Yours seems more open, others seem to have more shrubs around.
We were in site 047, most of the sites around us seemed open, but the ones towards the front of the campground had more bushes around them.
@@JamesandPaulsRVAdventures I actually tried to get that, but couldn't get it. Recently I got a site that others dumped. The booking for Mammoth is absolutely insane, esepcially in July
Yes, that whole area is very very busy in season. We were actually there one of the last weeks the camp was open prior to winter, so it was a bit slower (but colder!)
Camped there years ago lots of mosquitoes
We camped In fall just before the campground closed for the season. Cool nights and no mosquitoes… but there was a bear going through camp!
