This is a fun recap! Also, this is the first season of TAR that I've ever watched. I adore Kim and Penn, which is the reason I watched it. Now I'm starting with Season 1

Something that struck me is Kim's account in Portugal of wanting to go home (as well as other times when she felt spent) but she found a way to keep moving forward despite any anxiety. For everyone struggling today, their new motto is "Be Like Kim!" Hey Holdernesses, that should be a new t-shirt offering in your merch. More seriously, their age not only gave them map reading skills but the maturity to read each other and respond appropriately. Penn may have kept beating himself up about the mail-train clue incident and Kim might not have been able to finish the race if each did not have the other. They have shown viewers that although they may be cringey, they are also loving, patient, and supportive.

It seems like sooo many of the teams already have social media/TV experience....what about the rest of us normal people who could be awesome on TAR?
Everyone is human from different walks of life, that's what makes this show great... no matter their background! Even if someone has social media/TV experience, they too are normal.

All the racers were absolutely amazing to meet at the finale party and Kim and Penn even signed my book on a commercial. Dusty and Natalia were so sweet and Arun was great! We all danced together for an hour or more after the show... One of the best night's i have had in a very long time! I wish i had more time to sit and talk to everyone but so thankful to the twins for putting the finale watch party together! Congrats again to Penn & Kim!! I'm now a super fan of TAR and going back to watch the other seasons... Can't wait to see what the future holds for these awesome people!!
Kim and Penn are so great, i loved that part where he took off the mask after the pinata thing and you just see Penn COMPLETELY DRENCHED in sweat ABSOLUTELY SOAKED his entire face and hair & just shows you the immense effort he was putting into it! Well done!
Oh man .... some of those challenges are CRAZY. I suffer from BPPV vertigo so anything that turns me upside down (like a bungee jump) can send me into a Vertigo attack for 24 hours (totally incapacitated, can't even walk) ... no choice but to get medicated and sleep it off! I think I could do most everything else, but the idea of "head whipping" challenges fills me with primal fear.

I want to see a family race!!! Could you imagine travel WITH the kids. That's like a whole nother level of racing 🤣 we do roadtrips with our kids and I often think about gosh could you imagine racing.
