@yemaya Lana and Fatou both have their own unique struggles but we cannot deny the fact that Lana has pale skin and you know how easier it is for pale skinned people to maneuver entertainment spaces in Korea compared to darker skinned people like Fatou. Furthermore Fatou may have debuted quicker than Lana but her company uses her an other non Korean members as their gimmick to make their group stand out while not giving a damn about the group itself hence the many problems with members leaving the group amongst other issues. so I'm not saying Lana has it easy but to say she has it harder than Fatou would be a lie.
I also never understood why more idols don't wear colored wigs than bleaching and dying their hair like every week

Remember when kpop first came about in the 1990's it was all rap/hip hop inspired with a tiny bit of pop, YG's first ever girl group literally ripped off TLC - scrub music video. 1990's - 2000's a lot of the girl group members would legit have heavy ass box braids that look like would twist their neck and dance on stage with them. We have Shinhwa that used to have the rapper member say the N word in their songs. We now have male idols wearing dreadlocks, cornrows and these weird KHH rappers wearing durags. Whilst its always been like this you have the international fans that will go to war for how ignorant their faves are and they even make excuses and silence the black kpop stans on how they feel. A talented black woman joins in and they're upset, like how? They literally capitalise off her culture but she's not allowed to be apart of it? Make it make sense!

Would it be too hard for the company to hire a Black make-up artist or stylist. If they can outsource for songwriters and producers, then I’m sure it wouldn’t be too hard to look up a MUA or beautician online and fly them out to do Alex’s or Fatou’s hair and makeup.

In regards to Alex, I explained why in the video I have on her. As for Fatou, I’m assuming she’s doing her hair and makeup by herself bc of DR’s history and also because her makeup looks the same as it did predebut. I’m guessing it’s because of the same problem that happens in other places like America & Europe- stylists/makeup artists don’t bother learning how to work on Black people so the Black person has to do it themself

Have to say, the agency made an amazing choice picking Fatou. She modeled in Korea way before her trainee days so hopefully she is comfortable there. It truly amazing to see how well the members work together. Hope Fatou will be a member that is actually in the group instead of being used as a novelty.
