Hyein was the very first person I noticed in newjeans not because she "doesn't fit" the beauty standards but because it is sooooooo unique in a good way 🤧
Hyein is gorgeous and she really drew my attention the first time I saw hype boy videos. Her face is perfectly fine the way it is, honestly I think the problem is that the stylist don’t understand how to style her hair anymore. These K-pop stylists always try to make all idols have the same Korean cute makeup without understanding that all faces are different. Makeup and outfits should always be tailored to the particular idol, even if there is a concept to follow I believe it can be altered for each idol without missing the concept. The flat slightly choppy bangs don’t do her justice and I think she looks way better with black hair. These “fans” need to start understanding that people come in different sizes, skin colors, facial features and they are all beautiful. They need to stop trying to fit every idol into their very close minded standard of beauty. Genuinely all idols on this list are beautiful.
Agreed! Of course it's K-Pop and Korea has its own beauty standard. But I think everyone has their own charm. On Hyein's side, it's true she has unique features. It doesn't really suit Korean beauty standard, but that doesn't mean she's unattractive! She gained so much attention when they just debut. But people keep talking about her age and all. I also agreed with you that the hairstylist seems like pushing her into the Korean beauty vibe, when it doesn't really suit her. K-Pop seems to be based only on visual these days. It's unfortunate. Some K-Pop fans themselves look primarily at the appearance of idols and pay much less attention to their creativity. As for me, it's great that there are so many different nationalities in K-Pop groups. Different facial features, and their own highlights in appearance bring freshness and attract the eye. The same goes for dancing. Now the more difficult the dance and the more "circus acrobatics" there is (no other way, because more difficult movements are needed, light dancing is not in trend). For an already old K-Pop fan, it's important to me: the artist's music, his performance on stage, charisma and stage presence. All people and nationalities are beautiful and unique in their own way. And to raise one beautiful face to the absolute in front of others is a bit strange. Pharita hasn't even debuted yet. At least let her make her debut first.

Chaeryeong is literally modelesque, so sweet looking, has eyes that could cut you with a glance, & the most exceptional figure. She can do sexy, cute, elegant, sweet & more. I've always thought Soyeon was one of the absolute most beautiful idols of all time. Her fashion sense is out of this world. She is a lion queen in every sense of the words. She is so fierce & exudes sexy confidence. She looks like such a stunning badass, but is still sweet looking & not too hard looking to do cute concepts. Her eyes are so spectacularly pretty & powerful, she has the cutest face shape with beautiful lips, is gorgeous in any hair color, is so tiny & petite yet despite being so adorably wittle, she still packs a massive visual punch & could own any room she walks in to as soon as she enters.
All of these girls listed are exceptional. They are the type of girls that have made the rest of the world fall in love with Kpop. I don't know why Korea constantly insists their idols be clones, who all look exactly alike. That is so boring. There are infinite different types of physical beauty & I love the most unique visuals. It is so boring to see the same type of look over & over. The most exquisite things in the world have so much value because they are so rare or one of a kind. It is the same with beauty. There are millions & millions of pretty girls, but when you see ten extremely pretty girls that are all almost identical, for example with shiny dark hair, blue eyes, tall, thin, tan skin, big boobs, all the curves, perfect makeup - sure they are all beautiful, but it is cheapened. Then when you see a fiery little red head with green eyes, endless freckles, & a tiny frame with nothing that seems to align with the other girls mentioned, or a very very dark skinned beauty with big gorgeous 4c curls, deep drown eyes, magnificent muscular frame - those 2 girls I created as a 'for example' have a beauty that is going to seem so much more exciting & more appealing. I don't want to look like anybody else.

I love seeing Chaeryeong dance cuz she looks so confident and she’s such an amazing dancer. It just makes her 10x more attractive. She’s always been pretty and more on the cute side. Nowadays she’s growing more confidence and she’s become even more gorgeous. I love her
i was drawn to hyein visual,she looked so mysterious and stylish.(she looked like tomie !!)I know people will say don’t compare her etc but she definitely has a jennie vibe,classic,hip,stylish vibe like her.I was like “ damn when she will grow up,she will be big for sure”.Im not a crazy fan of jennie but jennie is somehow the standard,she is the it girl and global brand ambassador.For me hyein could make it big with a western like visual and long limbs.Im sure she will shine,we just have to wait a little.
To he honest the idols mentioned in this video are not the most attractive, but it doesn't diminish their talent. They still dancing, singing and performing very well.
