it is competitive, if you wanna get a medal, but luckly back then the rules.gave medals.to everybody, too bad it wasnt recorded.in this highlights. and.nevertheless.some.may wanna get 3rd, you dont reach world cup last 4 everyday you know. and some dont care 3rd or 4th, after losing the semmie, it is hard, unless you didnt expect to win it of.course,.as.belgium was.against magnificent argentina.

@@ivansanchez4462 Brazil definitely wasn't a force in 86 , they were good but not great like they were in 82. Only Argentina , Gremany and and France were playing at a high level. Denmark played good in the first round before geting destroyed by Spain 5/1 if I remember correctly. Italy was a disappointment from the start as they couldn't even beat a no name team like Bulgaria in the opening match of the tournament , they barely made it to the second round and got beat by France. Italy won one game out of four games .. How were they strong??? Mexico was NEVER a force in the world cup , they never made it past the round of 16 ever. Almost the same thing could be said about the Soviet Union and England. In 82 any team out of a total of five (Italy , Germany , Brazil , France and Poland) could have won the world Cup where as in 86 only Argentina was the CLEAR front runner. World Cup 1982 is the best ever so far in the history of the game in my opinion with all due respect to yours my friend.
