- I love being a Dad! Spending some quality time with my son Maurice (morris) - today we break out the Aquacraft FiRE RESCUE 17 Boat! Maurice has been eyeballing this boat all winter.. and is finally old enough to give it a try. This is his first attempt at piloting a boat this big - but Dad thinks its the perfect speed for a little RC ADVENTURER!
He needed some help sometimes, but I was very proud of him as he sped across the open water, learning how to use a dual stick controller. This is a challenge for adults when they learn, let alone a young fella - but he is picking it up very quickly. Soon, he will be out there racing speed boats with Dad :) I suggest the radio control hobby for all Dad's and Sons out there, if possible. It's a great way to spend a family afternoon, puttering along in a Silly Toy Boat, Laughing at Silly Jokes! What better way to spend an afternoon!?

takes me back to all the times I spent with my daughter piloting our r/c/ boat and palying with farm toys at the beach . she is 20 now ...time really does fly by when you have kids . enjoy and cherish every minute sir ...mind you , I don't have to tell anyone who is a parent just how quick these moments pass by . thank you for this video , its a real memory jogger .

Hey, I have to admit - I have a sharp tongue when he is out of line, but patience and reasoning for punishment seems to be the key. I have to catch myself from time to time - from being "too much" of a Dad.. and to let him spread his wings more. Really cool you commented, and it gives me encouragement that I can be a better Dad, each day :)
I have been watching you for years and have always thought you were cool ( rc sparks), especially when Jem got Pinky and got involved with the hobby. Now you have Morris involved and that is the coolest thing to see, a complete rc family and about enjoying the hobby. Jems segment on her building the scx2 was a shocker and grerat for all the other women out there that think its to hard to do the hobby cause of the parts and building the vehicles. love the show and as long as you post it i will be watching it, loyal to the end. thanks for the like, but im just sharing whats on my mind and what i consider the truth.

These times are so important you sir are a fantastic dad...life goes in stages..eeach one is better and more enjoyable as you go...im now hanging with my grandboys. 4 of them 2,4,5,6..im having an absolute blast..i did youth garden tractor pulls with my sons..at about 7yrs...i cant wait to start building tractors with my grands...the rc is another great idea..be proud enjoy every minute you can it goes fast...

I have been watching your videos for a while and you have some bad arse toys, every man should own a few toys but you have most men beat. As the saying goes, " The only difference between men and boys are the price of their toys!" You definitely prove that bud! LOL. I just wanted to tell you that I think it's awesome that you share your passion with your son. In this day and age it's very rare for men to be involved with their kids let alone share what they are passionate about and help get their kids involved in a positive and creative hobby. my hat is off to you bud.!!!!

RCSparks Studio I think that would be a cool video, I worked hard to involve my kids into what I am passionate about when they were younger. I owned my own custom automotive shop and my oldest daughter learned her work ethics from working along side with me building custom cars. She helped me build a few trophy winning vehicles and some of her happiest memories are helping me in the shop and she has some of the same passions today

Dude mad props (no pun intended) you are the finest dad i have ever seen. My dad's 73, lost mom this April and lives with me now and has been the best i could ask for, gave me everything i ever asked for, partied with my friends on weekends in High School and after, (went to Woodstock if you catch my drift, ex hippy) but never enjoyed playing with me. Sure he bought me the first Nintendo in 1985 and played Mario, Tetris. He did his best but it would have been so cool to play RC toys and such.... He'll remember this when YOUR 73 and move in with him :-)
Even better is when you two go out in a rowboat and fish. When you get bored fishing, you break out the RC boats and have a little race around the pond. We tied bobbers to some bricks and made a little circle course...
