Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp is a 2023 turn-based strategy video game developed by WayForward and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch. It is a remake of the first two titles in the Advance Wars series, Advance Wars, and Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising. It was released on April 21, 2023.

AW fans: Advance Wars plot is so stupid, a group of Orange Star troops casually travels across Gold Comet, they encounter the local military forces but then everything just ends after a few conversations between the COs and everyone pretends like nothing happened, this is so unrealistic!

Real life is where the Austrian army attacked itself in 1788 and lost 150 troops (at least, and estimated). Advance Wars has nothing on the nonsense of real life lol

Considering CO Powers are implied to be actual magic especially after what Hawke did to Sturm, I'm glad they kinda scrapped the "sleeping" part.
I wouldn't like to think Sonja or Lash would be making surgeries to study the magic of said powers. Sonja would deny doing that.

Really, FUCK DRAKE MISSION!!! The Random weather ruined my countless S Rank attempt. I wished we have Manual Save for each turn like Valkyria Chronicle.
Drake: "Orange Star are not evil, this conflict is so wrong."
Also Drake: "To test my theory, I'll pull a Sonja and will still fight Orange Star, probably causing lots of death in the process, this way we'll get the intel we need without unnecessary damage."
Grit: "Geez, at least in my case I was openly against doing fights and only did it because of the chain of command. You guys have something wrong in your heads."

sonja would probably serve a purpose outside fog in aw1 if she was able to use enhanced vision to see and attack dived submarines without having a unit next to them, but yeah this would basically make her a naval specialist outside fog (but it's still a vision specialist power)
I'd want her to call in fog when activating Counter Break and having her counterattack bonus apply to her units during the opponent's next turn. It'd make her that much more useful while keeping her theme of being an info warrior.

Imagine being an experienced reconnaissance expert, with a superior fighting force, fighting on your home turf, and under favorable conditions, and losing to a small disorganized detachment of foreign troops led by a kid who's two defining traits are "doesn't know basic strategy" and "can occasionally beat soldiers back to health with a wrench." You can only blame your bad luck so far before you start to question if maybe you only hold your position because Daddy is the emperor, Sonja.
Sonja: "That's ridiculous, I didn't get my position out of nepotism."
Lash: "Didn't your father almost interrupt a scouting mission asking for a transfusion for a small bruise of yours?"
Sonja: "Just an overreaction."
Lash: "And shouldn't you get at least a small call out because your intelligence department couldn't tell Flak was about to take silos in front of your noses only saved because Kanbei said so?"
Sonja: "I can neither confirm nor deny said inciden..."
Lash: "And wouldn't ohh mighty Kanbei demote any commander that suggests abandoning civilians for a cheap bait...unless said commander was his daughter?"
Sonja: "SHUT UP!!"
Lash: "Teehee, I just love ruining lives."

Hey @Mangs, do you think Re-Boot Camp will get a Dual Strike DLC or will we get a separate Dual Strike remake/remaster at one point? It’s my favorite Advance Wars game. Maybe you have some insider information :)

PS: it’s a shame Re-Boot Camp does not have an option to save your game (Campaign missions and Versus battles). I also noticed that this game has not received a single patch since it’s launch. There are still some very unfortunate crashing and audio bugs. I hope they will get fixed soon.

Not sure about versus, but you can save on campaign missions? Last time I closed the game mid-game I could just resume from where I left off. Or did you mean something else?

@@Mangs1337 Mangs, what do you think about that Warside game? Does it have potential to overcome ReBoot or will it fail like WarGroove did?
One of the most unfair things about AW1 and AW2 is that the AI cheats in the fog of war. The funny thing is that it doesn't seem to do that in the Reboot Camp as far as I can tell. Yet S-Ranking the Sonja missions are just hard because her powers basically turn fog of war off for her.
Gonna wait for you to do 33 Hot Pursuit on Challenge Campaign. Seem stuck on it. Middle CO keeps getting obliterated.
Kanbei in the middle, Drake and Olaf on the sides. Lure Sturns meteor with Kanbei Artillery.
@@projectpitchfork860 Yeah I got it. I never play a multiplayer round without eagle. But yeah. Kanbei middle did the trick. Just took me a while to realize that you basically have to almost get destroyed in the middle and then it turns around.
