    I'm so glad you put this video up. I have a chip in the edge at the top. The instructions aren't very clear on how to put the two sticky sides of tape together. It didn't say anything about leaving a margin of sticky exposed to good it to the counter. I was lost without the video.

    Just ordered a kit. Question, if I have part of a piece that broke off, would it better to use that piece and apply the repair in and around it? Or just start fresh without the piece?

  • @aniyahudi
    @aniyahudi Před rokem

    Hi. I have a quartz countertop that chipped in the edge. I've saved the little piece. Do you think it's better to try to glue it back on, or fill it in with resin or super glue?

    • @HIMGsurfacerepair
      @HIMGsurfacerepair  Před rokem

      IF it is a small piece, it may work with super glue. We also also a stone adhesive that we call SCA - Self Cure Acrylic. It is a non-toxic alternative that provides a very strong bond.

    the repair granite looks nothing like what Cindy sent as photo. Hers was really damaged. Repair was shown on a normal piece of granite. Hello.

      It’s pretty clear he’s demonstrating on an un-damaged piece of granite. A little imagination is needed.

    Is there a tint that would match different hues of white marble? Can this fill in a chip in white marble?

      This is what I’m wondering too. I don’t think you can sand the glass as it would become scratched

    Hi ,what's the blue light and what does it actually do to the resin, I know it sets it but what's the science

    • @HIMGsurfacerepair
      @HIMGsurfacerepair  Před 24 dny

      Hey there! Our kits don't use resin-- they use Light Cure Acrylic (LCA), which is a technology we created 30 years ago! LCA cures with a specific spectrum of blue light. Once cured, it can withstand moisture, cleansers and heat up to a maximum of 285ºF. It is non-toxic and a safe alternative to epoxy.
