  • Shaving your hair due to chemotherapy is a brave and empowering decision that many people with cancer make. Chemotherapy for breast cancer is a treatment that uses drugs to kill cancer cells, but it can also damage healthy cells, including hair follicles. This can cause hair loss, thinning, or brittleness. Some people choose to shave their hair before or during chemotherapy to avoid the stress and discomfort of losing it gradually. Shaving your hair can also give you a sense of control and confidence over your appearance and your cancer journey.
Chemotherapy can also affect your skin, making it dry, sensitive, or prone to rashes and infections. It is important to take good care of your skin during and after chemotherapy to prevent complications and promote healing.
I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer 2a Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. My normal hormones helped the cancer stay alive. My treatment plan is six rounds of Chemotherapy followed by radiation.
I'm 41, i'm currently just starting my 6 rounds of Chemotherapy. Once completing my Chemotherapy treatment plan i will take my risk from 46% or getting breast cancer again to 27% this isn't counting the rounds or radiation.
Im on FEC D treatment plan
Part One : Fluorouracil 5FU, chemotherapy given by injection into the vein, Pharmorubicin chemotherapy given by injection into the vein, Cyclophospamide chemotherapy given by injection into the vein
    Every three weeks
Part Two: Docetaxel (other names: Taxotere) chemotherapy given by injection into the vein
    Every three weeks

Well, hello beautiful lady, you are blessed with a great head shape, that makes such a difference. It's 4.55 in the uk and i haven't slept well, so i thought, let me just have a quick look at CZcams, and there you were. You remind me of a young shanade O'connor, i don't know if you remember her, a beautiful Irish singer, back in the day. Keep strong, it's an emotional difficult journey but i believe strongly that there is joy at the end of the tunnel☺️

You really rock that cut, suits you... like you I’ve never been one for a skin regime, but a couple of months ago I treated myself to a beauty salon facial, oh my what a difference, my face never felt so soft, so now I do the full cleanse, tone and moisturise.. Your make-up looks really nice too... Have a blessed day... ❤️🙏🏻🇬🇧

Thank you so much, my hair is starting to fall out, week 3. I was browsing for advice and watched your video, it's made my mind up to get it shaved off ASAP. I was hoping it would last another week until my sons graduation but unlikely.😢
