I was 7. My folks would have had us watching somewhere downtown. I have some memories of this. Thanks for sharing!
I was 2 in that year
I was minus 2. 😎✌️♥️🙏
I found myself riding my horse Eustace. Cowboy hat with greens neckerchief. Eustace a bay with matching green serape
This would have been the time frame that Colombo was making cases in this town!
Everyone remembers “Faulk in Athol”!! Say it 3 times fast. 😂😂
Just shy B4 my Birth. ThanQ, 4 posting the Melting pot OF AMERICA HOME TOWNZZ. 🏁💯♥️🙏👍🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁
That was a great parade.
I loved it. No, I wasn't there. I was living and going to high school in Fairfield, CT then. I remember parades from when I was younger and lived in NJ. My brother and his friends used to wind red, white, and blue bunting through the spokes of their bicycle wheels and ride along after the parades.
Didn't see a float from Starret. Not sure if Athol had Shriners with the red fez hats doing circles on motorcycles, or if they had the marching WWII vets with shiny chrome helmets.
I was on the Union Twist Drill Company ---- UTD float - which says Progress together with 3 ladies on it -- have WHITE gowns on ---that was our company.
There are better cars at Bills Auto back in 1962 then he has there in 2023
