Africa Unite! I might be considered American but I never denied the fact that we all came from Africa and hearing this music just makes it so real and shows that our amazing abilities are resurfacing more than ever something that may have been conflicted and restricted for hundreds of years. It makes me desire the connection even more. It makes me want to submerge myself in the culture and the people and the languages.

This is just a summary, not Line by Line:
He is essentially telling haters to stop wondering about how he made it and that if they want to get on his level, they better toughen and work hard. He also emphasizes that it is not to ok to be flashy while your mom lives like a pauper in the second verse. Great message as usual with Olamide

I'm not a dude, Fatimo. Although I've lived in the US for more than 40 years, I grew up in Nigeria as well. I also try to go back to see my family every couple of years or so.
What I will tell you is this. It's not all that glitters that is gold. When I go to Nigeria. I land at the MMIA in Lagos. I stay a couple of days with some rich friends in Ikoyi, I then have to travel to my hometown in the middle of nowhere. I still consider all I see along the way beautiful....because it is to me. It's not just sparkling estates in Ikoyi or Banana Island that is beautiful, but the small villages I pass on the way with street hawkers that mob your car as you stop.
Just please Fatimo, look past the dirt sometimes to appreciate the people and the culture.

Hummm, my sis. Make sure you don't eat or drink before you hit the roads in Lagos. You can be in traffic for 3 to 4 hours, and you can not make a quick exit to go to the restroom. Public bathrooms are actually non existent.
