Also, I'm aware now that in bedrock edition has a feature where trees within snowy biomes do turn white. It's what I used to make the thumbnail. But it wasn't mentioned in this video. I don't really qualify that for what this video talks about, but I wanted to mention it nonetheless, since it wasn't mentioned in the video.
AntVenom is it for all consoles or for Pc ? Love your videos btw and keep up the good work .
Love your videos!
@@theawsomeguy it's a feature on bedrock edition. So on mobile devices, Windows 10, Nintendo switch and Xbox 1.
It does? I exclusively play Minecraft Windows 10 and I did not know that.

I want to see snow setting and thawing on my Minecraft builds.
Mojang never added season because they only have one season in Sweden, winter

Maybe adding some ambience noises would be nice. Maybe some wind in the winter, some cicadas in the summer?
no cave-like noises tho

Wish granted.
Dynamic surroundings and serene season
It'd be ok if seasons had individual settings when generating a world, like "generate structures".
Spring: ON/OFF
Summer: ON/OFF
Autumn: ON/OFF
Winter: ON/OFF
I do think that they could add a lot of variety to the game, like in the game Don't Starve.

For seasons, the thing I'd be most excited about would be mob differences. For example Husks and Strays spawning everywhere for their respective seasons, or polar and panda bears going into hybernation for the duration of winter, or Endermen taking on a more frantic role in winter due to it being the only season without much active water, or Silverfish occasionally coming up to the surface of Extreme Hills biomes when it rains in summer.
Actually, just a little fun fact!! Pandas don't hibernate like other bears they migrate
Umm. Snow is water. Endermen are not winter mobs. Definitely.
Polar bears don't hibernate. They literally live in snow 24/7
I'd be more down for exclusive new mobs specific to different seasons.
@@StitchSprites Actually, pregnant polar bears do hibernate
Seasons need to be added. Minecraft gets too easy once you have adapted. Imagine getting snowed in!
getting frost bite
Famines
Imagine if you could die from hypothermia and they add coats to help you from freezing
Barry Jerry or you could just use torches to heat up the area around you, and use a fireplace in your house.
Maybe you could attach leather to your armor to prevent freezing
Short answer: Yes, absolutely.
Long answer: Yes, but please implemented similarly to the Serene Seasons Mod. It's mostly just cosmetic with the grass and foliage colors changing over time and the only things that are really affected is the amount of rainfall in winter and spring. In winter the temperature drops down so that instead of raining, it's actually snowing in most biomes. (Except in hot biomes like jungles, savannahs, deserts and mesas.)
Spring would be the default starting season. Rainfall is about 50% more common and grass colors are slightly less vibrant but other than that, it's just like plain old Minecraft. Summer would have the default grass and foliage colors and autumn of course gets a strong brown-orange tone. Both the summer and autumn should be the seasons where crops grow twice as fast while in spring they have their default grow speed. In winter the grass and foliage shifts to a more greyish brown tone, loosing most of the color in the process and like you said, crops only grow at half the speed. Serene Seasons actually makes it so that pretty much all crops just won't grow during winter instead of just slowing them down, which is quite annoying tbh. (It's configurable though.)
About the length for each season i would make it so that each season lasts for 3 whole moon cycles (Or 3 months in Minecraft) making each season last for 24 days and thus making a full Minecraft year last for 96 days. Remember, Minecrafts time compared to real life is like really really short (24 hours a day IRL vs 20 minutes in MC), so it only makes sense for seasons to not last for too long.
ok that’s to long
This is awesome! I wonder about that mod now. is it downloadable for the Switch?
I'm too lazy too read the long answer
I always thought it would be cool if snow did pile up in winter but the first spring rain washed it away.
While here spring is basically winter, winter, winter, summer, winter, oh it's actually nice, winter again, summer, winter, summer
Yes!!!
Im from Finland, and It would be rather cool if you had to actually do snow clearing.
yea good idea , but you dont want full blocks of snow to appear in your worlds ,heres an idea it would be limited to 2-4 snow layers if snowed
I hope to see seasons one day but you forgot the main change it would bring to the game:
Winter would have shorter days and longer nights, and the opposite for summer.
This would be a really fun mechanic in my opinion. Not completely game changing but simple, manageable and fun.
At least Minecraft isn't updated like the Sims, where every major update is basically a $40 DLC
especially when you compare the sims 4 to the sims 3
sims 3 expansion packs had MUCH MORE stuff in each of them
while the sims 4's... are really lacking of cool content
@@rymikai Yeah, but while Sims 3 packs had more moreness, the reduced stuff in Sims 4 allowed them to really flesh out these specific things. e.g. Vampires are better and deeper than ever before

I think when the player is in a extreme temperature, like a desert in summer or a tundra in winter, he should get a status effect like cold or heat, and it couldn't be taken off with milk, only with water bottles or actually getting inside water, or getting near fire, giving campfire an extra use
Do you think maybe a thermometer would be cool? It would most likely only show colors (dark red as really hot, dark blue as really cold), but maybe it could be useful?
Doobency that’s too non vanilla should be a mod

In fall monsters could spawn closer to the player. On "Halloween" in Minecraft, the whatever day of the year. Could be a blood moon and have nether mobs spawn in the overworld.

Saint Candy well one Minecraft day is 20 minutes so that’s 121 hours if I’m correct so that’s about 6 real life days of each season so I think that’s perfect.
So every season is about 30 hours long. I think that's long enough. Or we'll make it so that one year = 180 days. (Half of a Real-Life year)
So just 15 hours per Season. But there should be some preparation time. So I think 15 - 30 hours is good enough for a season.
iLPus no that’s waaaay too short. I would hate having a season last only a few hours. 15 hours is maybe two days of real life gamellay

Why light blue trees? Just let it snow in winter.
I think to make the summers give you weakness in the desert would be a good idea. I think seasons would be a nice addition. Great video!
Here are some ideas for Seasons! Its a really interesting concept!
___________________________________________________________________
- During Summer, Wildfires can start up. However, they'd be locked to maybe a 10x10 area before beginning to fade out.
____________________________________________________________________
- During Winter, Icicles begin to form on select surfaces, like Cobblestone, Wood or Bricks.
____________________________________________________________________
- Fire spreads faster in Summer.
- Fire spreads slower in Winter.
____________________________________________________________________
- Villagers stay inside more during winter.
- Winter is dangerous. Strays replace skeletons, Ice Golems appear during the day (Which are basically hostile iron golems), and Phantoms spawn in larger groups.
___________________________________________________________________
- Seasonal Minibosses. These are randomly spawning minibosses that appear at farther 1000 blocks away from 0,0 in any direction. Usually, they are relatively easy to defeat, although not a cakewalk. There are two for every season; a Gateway Boss and a Bonus Boss. To move a season to the next, you must defeat the gateway boss. However, once it is moved to the next season, you will never have to kill one to move seasons again, but you can still encounter one. To beat a Bonus Boss, it must be the second of a season. They can spawn anywhere, but lower chances 1000 blocks from 0,0. They are significatly harder than Gateway Bosses, about the level of the Ender Dragon. Only one Bonus Boss can be beaten during one season.
Spring, Gateway: Flower King, a boss that spawns in Plains and Forests. It fires flowers, and tries to trap the player with a vine. They never move, but automatically target from any distance when hit, or if the player gets 20 blocks in range. Summoned during a loading chunk, but can be spawned anywhere with a _Magic Sprout_ , an item crafted with 4 grass, 4 flowers , and a diamond.
Summer, Gateway: Boar Horde, a horde of 20 Boars, enemies that are somewhat powerful. They are extremely fast, but deal low damage. About the speed of a Minecart. Can jump one block. They spawn in Savannah and Mesa biomes. Usually move randomly from place to place. They are nuetral. They can be spawned anywhere with a _Hog Whistle_ , crafted with 6 sticks, 2 leather and a diamond.
Fall, Gateway: Great Pumpkin, a massive floating pumpkin. It is very slow, but takes up an entire chunk. It tries to crush players, and can break blocks with its smash. except bedrock. Obsidian takes a long time, though. It also can only break one layer of blocks at a time. It also rains fireballs from time to time. They spawn naturally in Plains and Jungles, or are summoned with the "Cursed Pumpkin", which is made with 4 pumpkins, 2 pumpkin seeds, 2 blaze rods and a diamond.
Winter, Gateway: Ice Monster, Spawned in Taiga and Ice Spike biomes. This is a massive ice golem, which is the most dangerous of the gateway bosses. It can smash all kinds of ice, glass, iron bars and regular sand with its fists, and can slowly punch through walls. They are also capable of spawning Snow and Ice golems. They can even breathe snow around a 3x3 area of them, making a massive pile. They are summoned naturally, or can be summoned anywhere with the "Frost Totem", which is a Totem of Undying surrounded by 4 blocks of snow and 4 blocks of any kind of ice.
__________________________________________________________________
These bosses evolve over time with destruction. They stay in one place, then chase you around, then break objects slowly, then can easily destroy blocks. This allows for progression of how a boss can effect you. However, Bonus Bosses are deadly, and both can and will destroy blocks to kill you.
__________________________________________________________________
Spring, Bonus: The Living Tree. They are a dungeon of bosses and minibosses, with traps and dangers around every corner. When you reach the top, you must defeat the tree's heart. Do that, and the tree will begin to die. When this happens, the players have to escape out of the tree before they fall to their death. When they escape, a massive oak trunk will stay. This spawns in the Savannah, Swamp, Plains, Taiga, Forest or Jungle.
Summer, Bonus: The Smasher. This is a beast with massive jaws that destroys players and blocks at a rapid rate. It is fast, though. About as fast as a player when walking. When it gets a quarter of its health, its jaws will open and snap extremely fast, and eats everything it can get its hands on while in the way of the player. Spawns naturally anywhere, other than the ocean.
Fall, Bonus: The Grim Reaper. Goes through blocks, and can slice the player at a short range. Does nothing to blocks. However, at 25% health, it flies, takes twice as much damage, but its slashes do MAJOR damage to terrain.
Winter, Bonus: Ice Chipper. This guy destroys everything except bedrock, but is very slow. It is a massive mechanical BEAST with 2 pickaxes for hands. It can beat a non-armored player in a single strike (almost). It is also a tank, and can destroy anything in a single strike. Finally- If brought to a quarter of its health, it will head directly to the player's spawnpoint by any means necessary. It spawns naturally in Ice Spike and Ice Ocean biomes.
The Bonus Bosses are designed to destroy the world and player, and are usually good at their jobs. They aren't to be messed with unprepared.
_____________________________________________________
How are they? Please, do tell!
Awesome! This would be the best update in a while
Awesome but why i want to kill the bonus bosses?
Sounds a bit like modded Minecraft, but I wouldn't complain if they added this in.
Terraria and Dont starve much
All this would be great exept the season bosses you know it would he much less realistic to make it that you have to kill the boss to move to the next season
I think drinking water should act like a potion affect. Make it resistance to temperature.
Like in hot weather, you can drink cold water to relief yourself then run faster and in cold weather you would drink hot water to relief yourself then run faster while the fall or rainy seasons having no effect?
I think just having water work as a food source in hot temperature is enough. As Antvenom stated, making it a requirement makes it unfun, but having it as an addition to everything else makes it fun.
lets drink some snow!
Yeah but it should last realy long, so you don't need to drink water constantly!
Burton Megasë but what if you miss the sound that says your thirsty? There is nothing visual showing your debuff. We need to see something like “heat stroke” in the effect bar to know if we are thirsty.
Just one idea that i've already seen in other games and i think it would fit here
- When you're in a hot biome during the summer, from time to time you would get Insolation effect, it should be like poison effect but less agressive, to avoid that you could carry some water bottles to keep hydrated, or maybe they could add some new armor sets to the game like "Diamond Summer Cloths" it would give less protection than original armor sets but would give you a good resistance against the effect (They would add a new enchantment to do the same)
- When you're in a cold biome during the winter the same would happen, but with hypothermia, instead of drinking water they should add some tea to the game ^^
What do you think about it? (sry for bad english)
Ah, your English is fine. I like your ideas as well, especially the enchantment and hypothermia ideas.
Is it from don't starve?
darknessinside maybe fires instead
Maybe just use the leather armour for the clothes.
darknessinside oooh maybe even hot chocolate. It would have the best effect for healing during the winter season
seasons would be cool but make it a gamemode and they change every 90 minecraft days so instead of a 365 year make it a 360 or 364 day year
homie lizard 365 Minecraft days is about 6 real life days of my math is correct so it’s actually good. 90 days would be pretty short
what about leap years? where the player gets a potion of leaping after the first 20 irl hours or so
31+29 = 60
60 x 20 mins = 20 hours
I mean... It would be awesome to have seasons but right now Minecraft doesn't need it. Many people have waited for the combat overhaul and Nether revamp and Cave update. After those we could easily add seasons to the game.
Rieska caves would be cool, I like the nether how it is tho. But if you have any ideas for the nether I might change my mind
@@Jim_n_the_wilds I dont have any special ideas but here it goes
-nether is pretty boring place nowadays and it should be more dangerous. Maybe just one new mob and couple blocks.
-And the nether fortress is pretty dull looking, the code for it was made like 5 years ago, maybe the red nether brick could be in some of the areas of the fortress.
-Also pretty basic idea but nether villages would make nether feel more alive
-Also they should add more biomes to the nether, just like they did for the oceans at 1.13
-It would be nice to find some kind of ore in the nether aswell. Maybe new ore would be too much but if they added like gold ore in the nether, and it would be like inside of netherrack like quartz, instead of stone like normally. Gold ore would kind of make sense because pigmen drop gold nuggets.
Note: English is not my first language
Rieska good ideas, I do agree the fortress is kinda dull
@@rieska178 the nether should not feel alive, villages would make it seem like a happy, kind place.

Make more animal breeds, more blocks, more weapons, new trees more biomes, new potions? New sky designs.. THE SUPER DUPER GRAPHICS TEXTURE PACK!, and ect.
Hey ant! Do a mod with this, its too nice!! The ideas are perfect, and for the leather armour, its real that it could be use for that
Biomes like forests and plains should have the winter summer autumn and spring
Biomes like savannas and jungles should have the dry and wet/rain/storm seasons...
Snow biomes could have an icy season and snowy season
Deserts can have humid season and drought season
Winter season would play at the same time as icy season and rain season...
Summer season would play at the same time as snow season drought and dry season

Death, murder and crazy crimes.
@@thespkrYT florida governor banned seasons
In the winter months it's still pretty cold. No snow sadly.
The mod "sirene seasons" does like evrything he just told us
I also think that they should include a rare season that can occasionally happen where all the trees turn a particular color scheme, (not rainbow, but a generated color out of a pool of colors), and for the season to have special affects on the surroundings based on the type of color picked.
I wouldn't want to over-complicate it though, so probably only 2 different color schemes such as warm vs cool colors.
I agree with this idea and I think it should be added to Minecraft
Same Xcrafterpe 99
I have a better idea for snow:
Snow should only pile up during snowstorms. 98% of the time it snows IRL, its just like an inch or 2 (depending on location) which translates to barely any. This would be where the snow grass texture gets used. It would be cool if a snow storm could make snow a block deep over time and you had to walk through it, and no longer could walk on top of snow.
No.
I mean, I'm french : I can't have sandstorm ? Storm will be an awfully rare occurrence..! (damageable for the gameplay => creeper charged) But less than snow storm ? This will be boring ! This is not the Minecraft that I want to play. Il want my snow, my lightning, rain, sandstorm ... often enough to enjoy my trip and survival in an another strange world.
Think this would integrate well with better weather implementations. So at end of winter day there’s chances for floods or thunderstorm supercells. They should be rare but still possible. Rain could increase in spring and in naturally generated water it would raise water levels. Or near ocean biomes hurricanes could spin up. All these could also be biome specific. Snow could also pile up in some biomes.
There should also be different effects on mobs. For example, during spring they're normal, during summer zombies and skeletons burn immediately after spawning, even during the night, while husks get stronger, then during autumn they're a different color while also they're walking noise is louder (like stepping on leaves), then during winter strays get stronger while every other mob gets slower
Mojang should hired AntVenom for this
Two words:
. . .seasonal. . . . . .creepers. . .
*Spring Creepers*
- +20% spawn rate
- +20% to all stats (speed, HP, explosive strength, etc.)
- have a flowery texture, as if little buds/blooms are popping up all over them
*Summer Creepers*
- spawn at their current rate
- have their current stats
- have their current texture
*Autumn Creepers*
- -20% spawn rate
- -20% to all stats (speed, HP, explosive strength, etc.)
- have various reddish/orange-ish/yellowish/brownish textures
- move around with a very loud, distinct crunching-leaves sound
*Evergreen Creepers*
- only spawn in the winter in biomes that generate spruce trees
- average stats
- dark green appearance, like spruce tree leaves
How much time did you spend writing that comment?
That’s actually a really fun idea
@@osmiloe2776 lol not much. I just remembered reading somewhere that what little lore there is about creepers says they're plant-like creatures, and so when changing seasons made me think about changing leaves and blooming flowers and stuff, the idea just kinda coalesced in my head.
That’s nice 👌
I am bored to read it
Maybe each biome could have a 'hidden' type to create the patches of snow melting, which would sometimes replace the regular biome.
The seasons should 'buff' certain aspects of the game maybe per each season, like spring and winter doubling crop growth while autumn could see more storms (much as it does in real life).
I have some opinions
-Spring•
Rains are Frequent(not just thunder)
Crops&trees grow faster
-Autumn•
Some leaves will fall( really)
Crops grow slower
Nights are a bit shorter
Cocoa grows slower
-Summer•
Rains are a bit rare
Overheating will happen if u put on leather armor or staying in the desert
Overheating will take health per/s
-Winter•
Polar bear spawn rate is increased
All skeletons are replaced by strays
You can freeze
Maybe add penguins?
Add more warm clothing
Lake will freeze
Aaaaaand most importantly

I have a feeling during very hot seasons or places, for the thirst implementation to show your thirst gradually maybe your vision would sorta fog up, or some sort of panting noise.
In that case there should also be heaters, blocks which would use up fuel to heat the blocks around them, melting snow and ice and allowing crops to grow in winter. Blast furnaces campfires and furnaces would also work, but with a smaller radius of heat, and plants couldn't grow too close to them.

Uhmm... Notch already have this on his mind but he doesn't finished or finalized it in the game before... so it's not AntVenom idea actually...
If seasons will be added, it would be good if they added a second slot for clothes near the armour slots. If you have armour on, you could still put the clothes on you, but they won't be visible. Its somewhat like the terraria social slots, but the armour will be displayed over the clothes.
That's a good idea, like you can wear leather over armor for customization or chain mail. Idk it's a cool idea to think about...oh maybe like actual clothes? Hmm that's a fine idea.
Oml I just commented something like this before I read this
I do like the idea of seasons, and I'd like to add some more suggestions to how such a mechanic would work:
>Seasons can be toggled before world generation; Player may choose which season in which they start
>Able to set the season to something specific if cheats are on
>Cold biomes only rise to a "cold-but-not-really-that-bad" temperature during summer
>Warm biomes only drop to a "Not-very-hot-but-still-pretty-warm" temperature during winter
>During the summer and in hot areas, Player's hunger bar goes down faster to simulate a "heat exhaustion" effect (Hydration shouldn't be a mechanic, and this would serve as a good alternate to one.)
>Animals such as wolves, foxes, and rabbits have their own dens to stay in for winter (I can't imagine pigs, sheep, cows, or chickens having dens, so that's up to Mojang)
>There _could_ be a sort of "dry season" where Husks have a possibility of spawning in virtually any biome
>Winter snow only sets one layer of snow onto any barren block when it snows; in super cold biomes such as in icebergs or ice spike biomes, snow can layer up to a block/half block of snow
>Standing still in the cold for too long _could_ take down a half-heart from Player once every few seconds, but I don't think this is an idea I'd enjoy
>A 365-day mechanic should serve to be adequate, as Player won't have to constantly re-adapt to a new season coming along. For the sake of saving Player the trouble of adapting to new seasons, I'd be fine with it being more days; possibly something closer to 375, but no less than 390 or possibly 380.
>Seasons are introduced in the Cave Update
“Dehydration” or “Thirst” would make a great status effect that goes away after you drink something like water, milk or a potion. The effect could drain your hunger faster or another idea is that you could take half a heart of damage every 5 minutes or so.
Also I don’t know about the idea of leather armor being the only counter to the cold temperature during the winter, since mobs hit pretty hard on Hard mode. I was thinking either making it so all armor ‘warms you up’, or a new feature where you can make padded armor by combining an armor piece with wool, which insulates the body heat. The other ways I can think of going about it is making an enchantment that you put on armor to resist temperature effects altogether (including dehydration), or making a potion recipe that also gives you a status effect that allows you to resist temperature effects.
All are fine options in my opinion, but I hope we get seasons as a feature at some point.
They must add a need for water, but more inventory space as well.
maybe backpacks
honestly water bottles should just stack
Like, potions shouldn't, but just plain water bottles really don't have much reason to take up extra space
Backpack for the win!
PentaBOSS why, there’s shulker boxes, and even more carry an enderchest with shulkerboxes inside. There’s no need for backpacks
2:40 Nooooo that would actually be really cool and interesting, if every time you created a new world it would start in a different season!
It would also be fun to be able to lock the season at generation at will, so that if you create a world and it's for example fall (or autumn) it will always be fall.
Like if you agree
Maybe it could work like weather, whe you could pick what weather whenever you want and whether the cycle is on or off. So you could pick what season whenever you want and whether the seasons change.
@@fabiofdez nah I think that would mean too much control to the player of the world and everything
@@pikasfed I mean, there are commands for basically anything in minecraft you can think of already so not really...
@@pikasfed as people pointed out, this is the kind of thing commands are for. It's not like you can't already customise a world's settings, and that would still count as "cheats" anyway. Why would the be more control than being able to, for example, change my gamemode to creative?
maybe we can get an option for the season to be randomized
An interesting suggestion I have is a a horse plow
In my worlds I like to make absolutely huge fields of crops for food and visual reasons
Maybe an attachment that you could put on a horse instead of a saddle could be a plow which when dragged over dirt would till 3 dirt blocks?
Nah, if it’s wintering we should totally have layers of snow! That’d be awesome!
Love the videos Ant. I really like the style of them, to the point but interesting, keeping everyone entertained
Edit: thx for the like AntVenom
Who loves Minecraft?
?

I still play it every now and again.
No One (Of Course Me XD)
I’d absolutely love to see front maps for an idea like that
Antvenom your idea reminds me of Don't Starve. Have you heard of it and if so have you played it?
I play!
Thats cool
I've never been this early to an Antvenom video
Same

Then hit the bell
I clicked on one AntVenom video when it was just 4 minutes online sooo....
Same. This idea is genius and must be implemented into Minecraft.
Camp fire can use in winter... to change your temperature
true
@@matejgaspar4727 ummm it might be responsible to cook some food.. But only for meat of foxes can cook in camp fire😂
Campfires are coming in 1.14 though, wish granted!
season should be added, and snow should pile up
7:16 Fall can be also prone to storms (of wind). They may want to add better weather so hurricanes could spawn every so often. That hurricane feature also might have to be toggable.
I think you could find a lot of inspiration from Klei's "Don't Starve" game, which I've heard described as Tim Burton presents Minecraft. There are many "chores" you have to do to continue the game but they are satisfying and definitely evoke a feeling of "fun" to me anyway. Then again, that game is focused around its seasons and I wouldn't want anything that impactful to be added to Minecraft, I'm sure there are certainly ideas you could use though.
Nah, I think two Story Mode seasons was enough.
Lol
I know I’m late but I thing in the spring the river lake oceans etc should raise a bit and in the summer it should lower a bit and lake and pond should freeze over in the winter and in fall have the effect of fallen leaves on the surface.
Problem whit seasonal crops: if you need an specific crop you need to wait a lot of time before you can start your project you need that crop for.
I feel like minecraft needs actual diversity in its landscapes... And I don't mean more biomes. I genuinely hate exploring minecraft worlds after beta versions since its just always.. the same. It just feels the same, every biome will always look the same in any seed.
What happened to those crazy mountains or seeds like "Glacier"? It just generally feels boring to explore and even more boring to build something that works WITH the land opposed to me just completely terraforming the area to build on.
I agree man, what made the game so awesome was how beautiful it's world's were and how fun exploring was.
Exploration is pretty boring. Everywhere looks about the same now which is sad
Church Of Catology just use an amplified world. You’re welcome.
@@louisakwok7785 but then everything is absurdly blown up scale wise, in the older versions finding those crazy mountains and stuff was only cool because not everything was crazy.
@@Samwow Look up the NeoBeta customized preset for 1.12, and I'm still waiting for them to re-add customized world generation in 1.14
This is starting to sound a lot like Don't Starve.
Grab a Snickers!
Stardew Valley more like though, haha don't starve is death.
Well don't starve is not blocky but also the season system system of don't starve is very good like of you agree
basically Don't Starve IS Minecraft but Tim Burton and seasons
@@aquabutter7 The only thing don't starve and minecraft share is that you live off the land. Other than that, they are entirely different games.
back in like, Beta 1.7.2 (I think) I had a bug that happened at my spawn where I built my home, it was like a beach next to a forest, and it started snowing one day and that snow just affected that one beach and every time i tried to dig the snow away it would just come back, and when it rained it would snow on that beach.
In New Zealand, we basically never ever get snow in New Zealand, but rather, a lot of rain instead, so if Winter was to be implemented, I think that non-stop snow would not only be annoying to some people, but not to realistic either. Rain should be a common occurrence during winter as well if you truly want to experience realism
Minecraft doesn't need seasons.
*IT NEEDS TO UPDATE THEIR OTHER DIMENSIONS FIRST*
also fast updates (if it's big they can take their time but not so long unless they have to)
@ZeLilHuntsman both are boring
HEY YOU FROGOT MOST BORING THING like CAVES........ (They need really Updates!)
*Nether
AETHER UPDATE 1.15!!!!?!!😡 😡 😡 😡
Maybe in winter we could have something like sleigh ,where we can move faster with it.
Or we can harness dogs and build a dog sled team
I really like this idea, however I think the seasons should shorter. Something like 25-50 ingame days each season
I'd say about 50 would be good, yea
I think it would be AWESOME!
I really want seasons in Minecraft, because i think they would make the game look a lot more realistic and interesting.
Nah, we should go full "don't starve" and have summer start fires, and in winter there should be a warmth bar and if you run out before getting near a fire you die, and in spring have floods start.
No. Just no a warmht bar? I think seasons should only be cosmetic and change the night/day cycle. And maybe the weather and that's all. We don't need theese gameplay changing bs.
@@davidj3841 Agreed. We should have little details during seasons, but if we completely changed how Minecraft would work, it would just feel annoying.
Minecraft isn't supposed be as hard as a game like Don't Starve. I would have quit playing years ago if it was like that. They would have to have a lot more items to make seasons like Summer and Winter possible to survive. 99% sure that they wouldn't add Walking Walruses with blowdarts followed by Wolves that freeze you
I agree. Don’t starve summer is definitely destructive and shouldn’t be added due to the damage the wild fires and plant withering would do and how restrictive winter would be for exploration or building, making the game much more of a toll to keep flammable structures safe and in shape.
I’d personally at least like a change in leaf color.
I didn't see this video until now, almost a year later. And today, I also realeased what I think is the final major update to a Seasons Datapack I've been working on since June. I don't know if people are still interested, but some of the ideas you threw up (particle effect for leaves falling, flower blooming, crops growing slower or faster...) are implemented, although other things you deemed excessive (snow layering, temperature "bar") also are present. You can probably find it by Googling, I just wanted to note this coincidence
(Also, since this is a datapack without resource pack, you can imagine that things like leaves disappearing or changing color are just... not possible)
I like the idea of seasons I just think they take too long 364 in game days is a pretty long time even if it is 5 real life days I mean are you playing minecraft 5 days in a row? Probably not so it might take a lot longer for a season to change these are just my thoughts.
Roel Lopez I was thinking like 120 days. 30 days per season
and on servers it is probably too fast as they are online 24/7
Well, there is a survival game with seasons, ever heard of Don't Starve?. The game lets you choose in which season you want to start, which is cool because in winter berries dont grow, there are no bees and its much harder to get warm. So I think their game has a good season mechanic.
I know both Minecraft and Don't Starve are kind of unpopular games in the moment and serve as a joke in the community but it would be nice to see minecraft getting popularity again.
Minecraft should implement more of don't starves hardcore tactics
@@eliusswordofblaze8866 it really shouldn't. A bunch if thoose mechanics wouldn't work in minecraft and they'd only be infuriating.
I think that there should be a toggle-able option for this mechanic. But as for the desert in the summer section, I would like to insert my own idea. That is to take the breath mechanic from going underwater and add a hydration system to the desert only, while having it decrease unless you get into water or drink some water. It shouldn't be too annoying if implemented correctly, and it shouldn't be a sound. Some people are either deaf, or don't have sound on.
The toggleable thing could definitely be a thing like the weather commands: You could toggle whether seasons change, and use a command to change them.
in the summer, water bottles could raise your saturation level in hotter biomes, and hotter biomes could lower your saturation level.
I definitely think Minecraft needs seasons it will make it better and maybe it can effect the biomes.
ddeans12 It won’t really make it better... anyways if you want seasons get a seasons mod. It would be a waste of an update for a lot of people.
Bedrock users are screwed, there's no way to download anything not in the minecraft store (not on console at least)...
Cole some people don’t have access to mods like on console edition, what do you have against season?
I didn’t know there was a seasons mod, I will definitely look into it.
Fabio Fernandez I suppose, hopefully one day a mod api will be added for bedrock, something built into the game itself
i think a fun idea would be that certain mobs hardly show up in the different seasons. bees and honey would be a cool addition to a summer season. they can also add squirrels and stuff like that and make them go white in the winter, and also snowstorms that force you to go inside so you dont die. in the autumn we could get maple from trees and use it for maple syrup. in the spring, all the baby animals show up and all the animals are more prominent in general.
Summer would be like it is, Autumn would have more rain and orange/red leaves, Winter would have rain in deserts and occasional snow in plains biomes, spring would have natural animal breeding and more flowers.
I’m early, better make a joke
Wanna see me do it again?
