- I recently installed my straight pipe from Valvetronic! I dyno'd the car before and after with valves open vs. valves closed. It's not a 100% true straight pipe, but it has 2 resonators in the middle section. Enjoy!

Straight pipe is exactly that; straight pipes from the headers back... you have a de-cat... test pipe... system with resonators and mufflers... you certainly gained power with this mod... you also have the benefit of valved mufflers making it the best of both worlds!!
Don’t forget, a mustang dyno is very conservative compared to a dynojet’s readings...

Just love the e92 M3. I have an e90 M3 with full Akra, tune ...... Not the fastest car out there but one of the most thrilling to drive. Massively fun experience and I never ever get tired of wringing it's neck or listening to those whip crack downshifts. Totally addictive.

Mate just do what i did for not even quarter the price. 4 pipe mod on original backbox and primary decat with map for O2 sensors and engine performance with cold start delete, limiter removed and rev limit increased to 8600 rpm then add an Eventuri cold air intake. I hit 457 BHP on the dyno which to me is insane increase without a turbo/supercharger.

The F8x is a great all around car, but if I had to pick one car to drive the rest of my life it’s this M3 because of the smiles it gives me behind the wheel. Just did the OEM mod not too long ago can only imagine how this would feel.

If you’re not worried about your car catching on fire sure. Any exhaust system shooting fire or tune that shoots gas into the exhaust will destroy your car and can make it catch on fire and explode. NA v8 with a x pipe and a nice tune your good to go with this car. If you want the added power at lower RPMs u supercharge it
Great sounding exhaust! When I straight piped my E60 M5 I left my stock mufflers on. After awhile just gets annoying. And living here in cali well you know how it goes. Cool video btw 👍

The sound is great to toggle in and out of beast mode is perfection! A supercharger is expensive and labor intensive. Personally i'd just dyno tune the hell out if it then enjoy. But, if you do im sure the content will get a ton of views🍻

Your car sounds similar to mine when I had this setup. Took it off after 3 weeks. The exhaust note actually made me not want to drive the car I disliked it so much. So hollow and tin-canny sounding. I’m certain you’ll change it soon haha. To elaborate on that I didn’t like how it’s booming like a fart down low, then tin can and super unrefined up top. I also hated the bark between shifts lol. To the point where I’d leave the drivelogic in 2 to avoid the bark sound. Anyways to each their own, but I personally think it’s the worst sounding exhaust for this car. And don’t get me started on the rasp with the valves closed lol. Ok wow I sound like such a hater now, big fan of your content though Spencer. Keep up the grind my guy.
For you what would be the best sound exhaust brand/company for a E9X M3?
xakra well, I’ve had 7 different exhausts lol. My personal favourite is the gintani quad resonated x pipe paired with the dinan free flow rear. Sound is intoxicating and essentially 0 drone.

Best is 4 pipe mod on the muffler and test pipes to replace primary cats. Best sounding not annoying all custom under 1000$

both of your M3s (E90 and this E92) make/made less power than they should. You cant talk over it. Your E90 had stock 320hp and this 350hp, which is to low. The S65 engine should do 420bhp on paper but is known to do less. I have seen several on the dyno making around 380-390bhp. This is the range where i would say the engine is in "good" shape. Both of your cars actually were week. You say that its normal that an engine loses power on the dyno compared to the numbers given from factory, because they were measured at the crank. So why does my 335i is making 320bhp stock on the dyno (it should do 306)? Just be honest....
Your 335i is clearly tuned doesn’t take a rocket scientist to work that out, no car is more powerful than what it is made in the factory

good numbers especially on a mustang dyno. get the draggy app and do some pulls etc.
car's very healthy . considering an e92 m3 when i sell my skyline lol. i was gonna get one before i bought it. sometimes i regret not just doing it off the bat.
you should install an aftermarket pulley for more torque in the lower ranges, it makes a huge difference

The dyno numbers will be off given the air flow into the intake. These cars pull timing because of this. I've witnessed this multiple times on my e90 M. So what you see on paper is likely less than what it is actually making all due to the air speed entering the intake. It's frustrating. The fans air speed in front don't equal the speed reached on the speedo during the run.

My friend has a Boomis exhaust with straight pipes on the cat area on his E92 M3 and when i reved it in the shop. THAT SHIT WAS LOUD.
Damn I miss mine. I had the test pipes and the 2 pipe muffler mod so it was still quiet at normal speeds but crazy at higher rpm. Need to get myself another one!!

Just wait until its summer heatsoaking and A/C and bad dyno numbers/acceleration times!
When stock if the hp is that low (350hp)some maintenance need to be dealt with spark plugs coils throttle body actuators rod bearings liqui molly oil change you should be at 410hp 412hp stock. Maintenance is key in these cars. My e92 m3 rips kept stock no tunes just muffler delete.
Usually these dyno from 330-360wheel stock. 400+ wheel stock when we’re rated 414 at the crank doesn’t add up.

Ok, so, I've been researching and chasing this for awhile now with no concrete answer. When you start up at 1:58, you can clearly hear a "whine" sound. Almost like a blower. It's audible until it's parked on the dyno. What's the consensus on that?
It's also clearly heard at 7:13, and 8:45, and I think you get the idea.
I swear an e92 m3 is supposed to make around 430ish bhp and my guy over here is makin about 80 bhp less than that. Im confused
