- The Plaza Hotel: The Oak Room. It’s a ballroom adjacent to the Oak Bar, and may not always be open due to private events. But it’s worth a shot to check if it is open to see when you’re there. One of the paintings that are on the walls is a cloud in the skies, which they said Walt Disney saw when they were in the early stages of brainstorming Walt Disney World, and he said he wanted a castle like that

My son LOVED Tom Sawyer island from about the ages of 11-14. We used to go over there with a full popcorn bucket. My husband and I would rock in the chairs, watch the 3:00 parade and eat popcorn while he played. Some of my favorite memories from when we had passes.

I Googled pics at The Oak Room. The Castle looks very similar to the one in WDW. Fort Langhorn used to be called Fort Sam Clemens (Langhorne was Clemens’ middle name).
In Disneyland it used to be called Fort Wilderness. That always messed me up as a kid who used to go between Disneyland and Walt Disney World a lot 😂

You know, I'd say you're right about the whole pot roast thing. I've never had a pot roast that didn't have some carrots and potatoes cooked and served with it. It's not a stew unless it's also swimming in gravy or sauce or whatever. To me anyway beef stew is basically pot roast soup.

I'm also from Pennsylvania and we do our pot roasts with baby carrots and chunks of potatoes. Always had it that way and I make it that way too.
Literally eating pot roast for lunch while watching this and yes you are right, typically has potatoes, carrots, etc in it. Also, I need that pumpkin dole whip!!!! :(

Soooo the park looks beautiful. I can’t wait to be there in December. I got tickets to MVMCP on 12/4. I am so excited!!! On our last day we are also eating breakfast at Steakhouse 71.
