Tom Izzo has been MSU's head coach for 24 years. That's 24 classes of kids he's worried about, screamed at, consoled and cried with, including many who never got off the bench. Never mind his Xs and Os or his record. That bottomless pool of emotion is what makes him a genuine, walking and talking legend.

Typically seniors in college basketball just aren't good enough. That's why there's so many one and dones or two and dones. Those are the REALLY good players.
The respect of the other coach at the end was really heart warming as well just goes to show no matter how different the teams or where they come from the respect is there.
Michigan fan here huge respect for what Tom Izzo has done for MSU. A class act on and off the court, you can tell by watching this he really cares about his players.

I've always liked and had enormous respect for Brad Underwood. And seeing him go out to congratulate Tum Tum really made me like him even more.
I remember Tum Tum as a freshmen on the team. He may not be the most talented player but he works hard and he’s the heart of the team. Hope the best for him and Go Green!
Every year, you can see how much Izzo truly cares about the guys on his squad. Izzo is a coach for the ages.
