Just wanted to say while I understand why you were away, I am so glad that you were back to making videos. You were missed a lot. I love the reindeer, I love all the DIYs but the reindeer was my favorite.
I am a minimal decorator. This year it feels like I will be bottlebrush trees, Woodhouse shapes, snowflakes and candy canes. I live in an apartment with no outside space to decorate. I think I’m going to convince my friend that she needs a solar light lantern or a solar light pool noodle North Pole because those look easy and fun and she has the space for them. 🤓
Girl you knocked it out of the freakin' stratosphere with this one! The lamps are probably THE single most genius Christmas DIY I've seen in YEARS! I'm making every one of these, and I'm straight up acting like I thought them all up to everybody that asks!! 😂😂😂

My style for Christmas decor has really toned down over the yrs. It's now very nature inspired with reminders of the "reason for the season" everywhere. Jesus Christ was born, was the ultimate gift from the Father, and we celebrate that. Hallelujah!!

I love the yard light. It’s great to know that the broom handles fit the solar lights. I’ve mowed over my lights numerous times and now I can elevate them and it looks awesome! Thanks…some wonderful ideas.

I don’t change up my theme from year to year. I do red, green, silver, crystal. I do edit my decor from year to year, donating some old whenever I find something new. But I find the familiar comforting at that time of year. Loved all of these DIYs. I own that glitter infested reindeer and now I know what to do with it!

I usually decorate with the traditional red and green Christmas colors, but I am going to change it up this year using Winter Wonderland Theme. The colors I will be using are Silver, different Blues, and White. I think that it will be really pretty. Like you, I live in Texas and hardly ever get cold winters😞! I love traditional too. But I have started doing every room in my down stairs different. Gingerbread/ candy, dinning room Vintage. Eating area in kitchen traditional with kitchen added cocoa bar stuff and family room woodland but this year I'm changing that up to add gold candlesticks and deer and accents. I really think almost every style is beautiful. Now I have grandkids I do it for them. They love going from room to room looking at every thing. I use to always have the same style threw the whole house but now I see the light threw there eyes and they light up.

I'm honestly not sure you've done anything I didn't like. I always get excited when I see you've posted a new video. The past couple years I've done a cozy cabin Christmas and plan to do it again this year as I really like it. Lots of greens, woods, whites, and plaids with pops of red.
I try to do a different theme in each room. The new one I'm adding this year is a winter wonderland theme in my dining room. I think pale blue, white, and silver with lots of snowmen, snowflakes, and icicles will work well with the red wall color.

Best, easy and inexpensive. Thanks! I'm downsizing, using what I have by order of my son. Red, gold and green this yr. Unrolled foil ribbon from Goodwill, maybe 30 yrs. old. It is holding on the top of a chain link fence. Twisted small red ribbons to the lower part of the fence and looped green beads below the foil ribbon. Made a crisscross tree using a trellis and lighted garland $1. Goodwill, never used. Topped with red and gold bows. Priced these items at shocking 2023 prices. Did not spend a dime this inflationary year. Use what you've got is our family challenge.

I love all of the ideas (as usual) I think I am going to wrap my front door like a present this year. I am having to be more minimal this year as I babysit my two year old grandson at my home. So I think I will use a lot of snowflakes and sparkly stuff for him to enjoy. I remember the year my father passed away it was only a couple months until Christmas. I wasn't in such a festive mood and all I could do was to place large snowflakes (that I made from some giant dried weeds - I spray painted white) on my tree before I started crying. That year we had lights and snowflakes on the tree. It was rustic but still very beautiful and saved me from having to put all the ornaments away after Christmas.
@GlueGunsRoses I just wanted to tell you that I missed you and I'm sure SO many others have missed your diy videos and your adorable giggle. Your so creative and your projects are not hard to do. I will be 60 in Dec and am in bad health, brain disease, ect. so I try and craft as much as possible to keep my mind busy. Your videos are SOOOOO good and affordable. Thank you!
I LOVE EVERY SINGLE THING YOU MADE! I tend to be really critical when I watch DIY videos because it’s looks cute but then they add something to it… anything from the type of floral picks they chose to the color choices, etc…like, I’m wanting to start making them now 😂❤❤

This year I plan to have several trees in our living room, clustered together. Different colors and sized. Green, white, pink, red, and whatever else strikes my fancy. Megan, I absolutely love all the ideas you have on this video and have a lot of the supplies on hand!
Megan these are amazing diys!!! Will definitely be making the swag and hula hoop!!! The stocking is beautiful, too. I made one similar to that but instead of a stocking I used a Christmas oven mitt and hang it in my kitchen. Always get excited when I see you post a video!! YOUR AMAZING!!!😊

That first one would look great indoors on a blank wall space as well! And you could ever string $5 string lights around the outside of it on the backside to give it a cozy Christmas feeling indoors!!

@DaMomDatCookz1 some low life that's on the run killed 22 people and injured a lot of people. My hubby has a lot of friends and family who live in the area that was targeted last night.
I love the DIYs with the trees! The tough part is living up north is that you can't really use spraypaint when it's 30 degrees out. I'm going to have to start Halloween in August and these awesome Christmas ideas in September next year! Thanks, keep the great Hallowen and Christmas DIYs coming!
My friend Shannon, the daily Diyer, said the same thing about having problems spray painting in the cold. I didn't know it was an issue to spray paint in the cold. I have had issues with spray paint drying fast enough in the summer when it's over 100°, but never in the winter... I do know of other DIYers spray painting in their garage with a spray paint tint in the winter. I'm not sure if you have tried that or if that even helps with the cold?
Just buy a for like $10-20 bucks to contain the spray, open your doors, & quickly spray your project... the fumes literally disapate in minutes, & then you just close the door again. Most spray paint dries within a few minutes, unless you're using several coats at once, but you can just move from piece to piece to piece as a production line very quickly by moving the sprayed item from the tent to a drying station, & spraying another item, if you've got several things to do. Plus, it's easy to turn a fan on to suck/push fumes out & wear a mask. Where there's a will, there's a way... just saying!
I have a dilemma, in my town trick or treat was last night, yet I'm expected to wait until week to start decorating. It's going to look strange with a fall exterior exploding into Christmas and winter inside. A girl has to do was a girl has to do.😊
I like a traditional tree in my living room - green, red, gold & all the sentimental ornaments. In the other rooms in my house they are more theme oriented like snowflakes, rustic cabin, etc.

Love your podcast name! I prefer jewel tones for the holidays. I really don't have a theme, unless you call 'This is our life' a theme. Our family has been collecting ornaments since we first got married - 40 years ago. We've made them, received them as gifts and swaps, bought them for special occasions. But generally it's deep red, pine green, and ivory. And either woodland Christmas or Nutcracker, which actually works well together. I love the little $1.25 trees. Every year, I knit a mini sock during Advent season. And after they are made, I put them on my mini tree. The grandsons love coming to my house to see what new socks are on the tree. Oh, and there is a knitted star on top.
This year I am using gold,black and white with my flocked tree. I am using reindeer, snowflakes and stars as my main decor. Thank you for the reindeer idea. ❤

Our Christmas is going to be, "It's a Girl's Christmas!" at my house. I bought a pink tree at the end of last year. Everything will be white, silver, & pink. I've been waiting for ankle surgery so I might not be decorating at all this year if I get booked for surgery. Everything you're making is beautiful & Easy Peasy. My mom took some of the pumkin place mats that are material from dollar tree and made her a valance for her kitchen and placemats on the table to match! She did a wonderful job! It’s Jesus’s birthday and I love decorating for His birthday

I do so many diy for myself and my adult children, I’ve done many of the same things you have done, I do often buy expensive ribbon, you made me rethink the cheaper ribbon because I saw how good you made it look, I love watching your ideas come together.
I tend to lean more traditional with lots of wooden pieces, and i like to add BLING! Nothing better than twinkling lights with the shimmer of glitter. I also like to throw something different into the mix like a splash of pink or blue. Great video, keep 'em coming.

I usually do one of two options. Gold and red or silver and blue. Adding other touches and colors when I want something to pop 😊

I love all these ideas. They are simple but gorgeous. The colors I like are silver and white and red.
This year I plan to have several trees in our living room, clustered together. Different colors and sized. Green, white, pink, red, and whatever else strikes my fancy.

Megan these are amazing diys!!! Will definitely be making the swag and hula hoop!!! The stocking is beautiful, too. I made one similar to that but instead of a stocking I used a Christmas oven mitt and hang it in my kitchen. Always get excited when I see you post a video!! YOUR AMAZING!!!😊

That first one would look great indoors on a blank wall space as well! And you could ever string $5 string lights around the outside of it on the backside to give it a cozy Christmas feeling indoors!!

All of these diys turned out absolutely amazing. I always use red, white, and a metal color. Gingerbread diys would be amazing.
I love the DIYs with the trees! The tough part is living up north is that you can't really use spraypaint when it's 30 degrees out. I'm going to have to start Halloween in August and these awesome Christmas ideas in September next year! Thanks, keep the great Hallowen and Christmas DIYs coming!
My friend Shannon, the daily Diyer, said the same thing about having problems spray painting in the cold. I didn't know it was an issue to spray paint in the cold. I have had issues with spray paint drying fast enough in the summer when it's over 100°, but never in the winter... I do know of other DIYers spray painting in their garage with a spray paint tint in the winter. I'm not sure if you have tried that or if that even helps with the cold?
Just buy a for like $10-20 bucks to contain the spray, open your doors, & quickly spray your project... the fumes literally disapate in minutes, & then you just close the door again. Most spray paint dries within a few minutes, unless you're using several coats at once, but you can just move from piece to piece to piece as a production line very quickly by moving the sprayed item from the tent to a drying station, & spraying another item, if you've got several things to do. Plus, it's easy to turn a fan on to suck/push fumes out & wear a mask.

I like a traditional tree in my living room - green, red, gold & all the sentimental ornaments. In the other rooms in my house they are more theme oriented like snowflakes, rustic cabin, etc.

Love your podcast name! I prefer jewel tones for the holidays. I really don't have a theme, unless you call 'This is our life' a theme. Our family has been collecting ornaments since we first got married - 40 years ago. We've made them, received them as gifts and swaps, bought them for special occasions. But generally it's deep red, pine green, and ivory. And either woodland Christmas or Nutcracker, which actually works well together.
I love the little $1.25 trees. Every year, I knit a mini sock during Advent season. And after they are made, I put them on my mini tree. The grandsons love coming to my house to see what new socks are on the tree. Oh, and there is a knitted star on top.
This year I am using gold,black and white with my flocked tree. I am using reindeer, snowflakes and stars as my main decor. Thank you for the reindeer idea. ❤

Our Christmas is going to be, "It's a Girl's Christmas!" at my house. I bought a pink tree at the end of last year. Everything will be white, silver, & pink. I've been waiting for ankle surgery so I might not be decorating at all this year if I get booked for surgery. Everything you're making is beautiful & Easy Peasy. I think it would be aweosme to give some of the diy to those in nursing homes! That would brighten their days!!!!! You did a great job! My mom and I do a lot of diy and we love it! My mom took some of the pumkin place mats that are material from dollar tree and made her a valance for her kitchen and placemats on the table to match! She did a wonderful job! It’s Jesus’s birthday and I love decorating for His birthday
I would love to do that. I make a lot of DIYs that I give away, but I still have more DIYs and decor I don't use. Who/what title should I search for on the nursing homes website? Or should I call? Forgive me, I had no clue this was an option.

I do so many diy for myself and my adult children, I’ve done many of the same things you have done, I do often buy expensive ribbon, you made me rethink the cheaper ribbon because I saw how good you made it look, I love watching your ideas come together.

I tend to lean more traditional with lots of wooden pieces, and i like to add BLING! Nothing better than twinkling lights with the shimmer of glitter. I also like to throw something different into the mix like a splash of pink or blue. Great video, keep 'em coming.
