I like the idea of “Eugene and Tita” (maybe Eugene and his Tita… but I like the sound of the first one better). You can let the viewer decide who is Eugene and who is the auntie (maybe the auntie is the snail?). Most English speakers might not know that Tita is “Auntie”, so it can act as a bit of a secret nod to Tagalog while also sounding like a cute name.
