Dang man, not sure which I love more Bay's different looks, the crazy range of her vocals, your song writing or just that whole 50's- 60's vibe that works so well.

I found Hank through his storm videos first and I was struck by his mind boggling video work, consistently excellent commentary and deftly handled incidental music. The fact that he pressed his own music into service in his storm videos was the cherry on top of the sundae

Wow, the synergy between all of the instruments and the vocals in this song are very intimately connected. It sets such a unique tone/mood, yet pulls on strings from music of other eras.

Im a death metal guy. Ulcerate, Archspire, Opeth, Putridity. All of those bands are extremely proficient and are diverse in their genre. Im not into a lot of verse/chorus type stuff. Yet Hanks music has such an allure to it. I love the atypical notes he throws in with his background hums that are reminiscent of tornado sirens in the distance. Its the nuances that get me everytime and keep me coming back. Fine job sir!
I can't decide which rabbit hole is the better one to get into. . . the Pecos Hank tornado rabbit hole or the Southern Backtones one.
Hank's videos are wonderful-- I am lucky that I have an audio-visual setup better than an i phone to watch/listen on; many of Hank's videos demand a large screen and an audio system with some horsepower to do them justice.

Honestly you have to realize that ability to write full songs, with beginnings and endings are in your wheelhouse of accomplishable goals. Just as your ability to recognize a type of tornado or the inflow or if the picture took of said tornado is a keeper or not, thats your good at what you do, you can tell good from bad, keep the positive process going, I like all of it.

That's the best song with vocals that I've heard from you, and I emphasize "with vocals" 'cause I consider that your weaker side. It definitely has a melancholy, but sinister, tornado pairing. For actual overlay, though, I think you could replace the tones and syllables of the voice with your epic wa-wa and twang guitar riffs to match any particular tornado's behavior. 🌪️ 🎶
