IU's character is deaf and V's character is blind in one eye. In the dystopian world they find themselves in, it is their differences that make them strong and their love that makes them unbreakable, no matter what they face. Through the lens of the video camera they see each other as it was, and how they see each other - perfectly imperfect. The final scene is so visually poignant and stunning - IU covering Tae's eye with vision so he can not see their ending...his single tear from his good eye tracing down his cheek. When V was 20 he was in Hwarang a historic K-Drama. The director handpicked him even though he had no acting experience. The director has said "I fell in love with him at first sight... I thought he was definitely capable of acting." "Pure and bright were the attributes we needed the most for the character Hansung.... the drama tended to characterize Hansung as someone who has purity, untainted purity,,,, this character needed to be very unique and charming.... you can see he's very bright so we decided to cast him. When we first met, I fell in love with him at first sight because he had a cute face. He was so energetic and cute I was a bit worried at first because he had no acting experience... there were a lot of different skills and aspects of acting required, He (V) tried reading thru the script once and I thought he is definitely capable of doing it with training. From V/Tae being in Hwarang in 2016 what is known as "The Wooga Squad" was formed which includes Park Seo-jun (Seo-joon), Park Hyung-sik, Choi Woo-shik, Peakboy and Tae. Army has been waiting a long time for actor Kim Taehyung (V) to return.
mastery! This is a short film, it is deserving of awards. It was like watching a whole drama series in one mv in 5.22 it invokes so many emotions and tells a story. So sad so well done. The cinematography the acting the singing the song the clothes. I cannot even express how this is so moving.

Such a beautiful and emotional video featuring amazing acting and vocals. I really do hope that Tae & IU do other projects together both film and music as they have great chemistry and when he was on her show their voices also blended so well. Also at the end it was pointed out by someone that he can hear what is coming but she can't while she can see what is coming but she covers his good eye so he can't. Both cry at the same moment though and from the same left eye. Also the right side of his face seems to have burn scars so maybe he had encountered a cube before but got away at the last minute. I also noticed the cube waits for them to stop fighting and accept their fate. If you notice there are no other people so obviously no person is able to meet the criteria this cube holds that would allow someone to survive. I can't get enough of this MV, the acting is Oscar level and combined with the award worthy vocals and lyrics it's both heartbreaking but also heartwarming that at least they went together.

(He made several of them over the years.) The installation in NYC was a 40 foot high pile of clothes. Next to it was a much taller industrial crane which would occasionally pick up an additional item of clothing off the floor, dangle it high above the pile and drop it. This video would not be the same without the scene of the beautiful wedding clothes floating down together at the end. The thing to remember is not the fear and sadness. The thing to remember is the love.

IU in Korea right now is like a symbol and epitome of deep-rooted evils in Korean society.
