- When visiting my villagers home it got me thinking why doesnt all my villagers have DIY working benches?? The only ones who had them in their homes were the ones that I had at the beginning of my game! How cool would it be if ALL my villagers had DIY benches that way upon every hour if someone where inside their home I could possibly end up with a new DIY

Just letting you know that all villagers have workbenches, some just don’t bring it out unless they have a diy recipe for u

Yeah, this is correct. I have Beardo on my island, I have never once given him or anyone a work bench, but I have definitely seen him working on the exact workbench shown in this video and gotten recipes from him. Villagers move furniture around their houses often, putting some stuff out and removing others. Beardo, specifically, sometimes has a wireless phone on his little side table next to the door there, and sometimes he has a phonograph playing very Beardo-appropriate music. The fact that Beardo happened to be working on his workbench when she arrived back the next day is pure coincidence and probably would have happened regardless of her giving him a workbench or not.
Can confirm. I was scared that my starting villagers would stop doing DIYs when I entered there home and saw that their bench was missing. However, later on they had it back out when they were crafting again. What a relief!
Can also confirm. They only use it if they have something for you.
There’s definitely not always DIY bottles on mystery islands, just so everyone knows and doesn’t waste their nook miles. It’s not guaranteed a DIY bottle every time... it’s said in the guide.

One in the morning, afternoon and night :) just visit all your villagers that are at home during these times and one will be crafting :)

Amber Bryant not 100% sure but gonna guess after 6 or 7? Just check who’s in there house during random times and they’ll most likely be crafting something
Usually I figure it out by noticing how all my villagers are outside except one and so when I find them they’re crafting :)

She’s right and it’s kind of interesting. I was making a wedding area and suddenly was getting all white items like cellos and pianos, etc.
Same, I must be the only player who doesn't want bamboo items and I get nothing but related DIYs.
I also own zero bamboo plants.... it's been almost 100 hours of this hell.

Work benches will appear in the villagers houses when they are crafting and disappear when they arent
Caraghan Hadfield no that’s not true, when I go in their homes they may not be making anything, but the work bench is still there in their home
Alexia Gaede yeah for some of the villagers like the original 2 or 3 but the ones after only have the work bench displayed when they are working on something
Caraghan Hadfield that’s definitely not true because the villagers I have after the original three have workbenches in their homes permanently after they did their first DIYs.
kennedy weston I have some villagers don’t have work bench while they are doing nothing. But the workbench will appear sometimes while they are working.
littlesquared mine didn’t have them when they moved in, but the first time they made a diy, it continued to stay there afterwards.

You wasted resources giving them crafting benches. They just spawn in their houses then disappear when not needed. The game is weird.
Neighbors make 3 diy a day. Not each one but that’s the most you can get from your island from them. You don’t have to gift a diy bench if they don’t have it. They will eventually pull one out and work on stuff when they feel like it.
please don’t waste materials on workbenches. they will spawn when the villager is crafting. (please test this more, most of your points aren’t true)
You do know that just because the villagers don’t have work benches showing doesn’t mean they don’t have workbenches
Also, I have gone to the nook miles islands, but have not always gotten a bottle, so unless the changed it then you are extremely lucky
I’ve never crafted a single wreath and my villagers still give me wreath DIYs all the time lmao

Yeah, you definitely needed to test this a bit more before making these claims in a video because 1. Every Mystery Island does NOT have a DIY bottle and 2. Every villager has a DIY table, many of them just don’t bring it out until they’re crafting
And considering those were your main points of the video, this isn’t actually useful or helpful to anyone at all :(
Some thoughts
there’s usually one villager working on a DIY at any given time. Even if they don’t have a work bench, there will be one added temporarily. And other great way to get DIYs, if you have Amiibo cards, scan a villager a day- they ask you to make them something. If you don’t have the diy for it, they’ll give it to you. And when you give them the item they want, they give you an item, which is great to build your catalog

i know this is late, but for anyone who doesnt know, villagers never craft at the same time, its either 2 or 3 different villagers who craft at separate parts of the day, and its not guaranteed for a diy bottle on the beach. either way, great vid! keep up the good work!
You can get DIYs from your villagers three times a day, one in the morning, afternoon and night.
I had found my neighbors crafting stuff very often. I had assumed everyone had figured this one out. Purrl gave me a DIY for a door decoration that requires a pink rose. She seems to make nice looking items.
I had no idea cosmos were hard to find. Those are my native flowers. Im having a hard time finding other fruits like cherries and pears. I found oranges today and I already had peaches and apples which are my native fruit

I planted and organized a bunch of flowers on my island and all I got for recipes were flower recipes for different things like furniture, decor, and etc.
cosmos are native to my island! i actually always thought they were kinda ugly compared to the other flowers haha

I only have a bottle on my mystery island about half the time
Nook miles islands have a high not 100% chance but also have a cap of like 3 or 4 per day so you'll stop getting them after a few islands

Cosmos flowers are native to my island. I have way too many and not enough of the other flowers lol.
I had a feeling giving villagers stuff by hand was more effective. I gave several of my villagers Peacock Butterflies and now they have the fluttery friends displayed in their home.

I'm also trying to get all of the cherry blossom recipes. I'm having a hard time getting very many at all. I'm also trying to get all of the bamboo recipes, especially the bamboo partition.

@@pinkusdean1178 I'm still getting new bamboo recipes. Just got two yesterday. Isabelle also announced just this morning to work on those bamboo recipes while "fresh young bamboo" is still growing. Bamboo is also still on the list of seasonal recipes.

So I'm not sure if you learned this yet or not, but the villagers that dont have a work bench in their house, will still have a chance to be creating a DIY later. They keep their benches hidden until crafting and other furniture is moved out of the way and stored while they have the bench out.

So I do know that some villagers, aside from the very first two, CAN have work benches. Al, the Gorilla, was not one of my OG villagers, but I normally find him almost constantly working on a bench and I'll get diy's from him. So I would recommend barging into all of your ISLANDERS' house up check for work benches. This way you can figure out how many you need to gift and not waste resources by making too many.
That being said, BECAUSE I often got DIY's from Al, I didn't realize that some of my islanders might not have work benches. So, I will definitely be checking their houses for benches. Thank you for the lovely video!
Hiii I think that those who does have workbench make it appear. Got DIY from every one of them even though they didn't have benches. Plus every morining, afternoon and evening someone make a new one. So 3 per day basically.

Katelyn Solorzano i honestly give them away and tend to hang out in FB groups occasionally someone needs a recipe and I give it out! Giving back to the community I think is the best way
GandaKris yes! That’s a great idea but what would you recommend I do with certain ones that Like everyone has. (For some reason I have an extra bunny day bed recipe even though everyone gets it in the mail...) if there are no better solutions I could always just sell them. I mean it would give me 50 bells 🔔 (or something like that) 🤷🏼♀️

The same thing happened to me lol! I was buying a lot of clothes from the Able Sisters and now everyone in my village keeps giving me clothing! (Often the same clothing or just plain hideous!)
I go to a lot of islands and usually you can only get 2 message in a bottles per day. I don't know if I am just unlucky or not but that seems to be it for me.
I posted this on Reddit but no one cared so I'll post it here. It's all speculation tho and I haven't tested it further, but the other day when i was doing my rounds I had 45 peaches in my inventory, I got all 3 DIY's from my villagers (morning afternoon, evening) and my message in a bottle, and they where ALL peach related DIY's. Could be a massive coincidence; but I wonder if maybe when you have the crafting materials in your inventory if it'll increase the chances of you getting a Diy that takes those crafting materials! Gonna be testing it by loading up with a lot of just one crafting material when I do my rounds too see if it's true or not.
I noticed the game defintely recognizes what your doing. Like you were talking about at around 2:10 how it was like Drift knew you were making wreaths and he gave you one. I've had a couple times like that, for example just today I was setting up a music area and a balloon came by with an amp for my guitar.

Yeah so others have already pointed it out, but I have villagers who sont have workbenches, but rearrange their furniture and have a workbenches when they are working on diys. That's why the villager had a different workbench than the one you gave them
Normaly you'll get a diy 3 times a day :till 12pm, after 12 till 6pm and after 6pm

If they don’t have a work bench they will still do DIYs. The work bench will appear for that time or they may use another furniture item. My clown boy uses a candy floss machine.

If you give your villagers a wreath, they will put it on their door. Fun! I get a lot of my recipes from visitors in the campground.
In one day u should only get 3 DIY on ur island morning afternoon and night. And my friend said going to random island with nook mile . In one day only max 3 times u will get a DIY then u have to wait for next day
whit the nookmiles islands you dont always get the botle. maybe its the time but i just checkt on the one i was on and there was nothing
I have cosmos flowers on both of my islands. One is native to my Southern Hemisphere and I bought after the update with Leif who sells rare flowers on my Northern Hemisphere.

All villagers do have work benches they just may not show untill they have a recipe for you. At first Octavian on my island didnt then one day when i visited him he was making something at a workbench, so no need to give them to your villagers. Cool vid though :)
You don't have to give them a work bench in order for them to craft in their home, I have multiple villagers who don't display them, but when they decide to die they wip it out. Also not all mystery islands have diy recipes on them, you just got extremely lucky, my boyfriend only gets one diy a day on the mystery islands, I get 2-3and some people always get them. They're simply luck base.

You should l be able to get 4-5 DIY projects every day so 3 from ur villages one in morning and middle of the day and night and the bottle that appears everyday on the beach and if u buy the ones from
