Governor Godwin Obaseki gave Philip too much power
Less be sincere to ourselves, i know is the right of anyone to go for what He or She wants, Shaibu is not suppose to be aspiring for Governorship position now in Edo State. We don't want tribal problem in Edo State, y we are still paying for the love, Peace, and unity in Nigeria. Let give Edo Central a chance.
Edo Central for governor. It can never go to Edo North after 8 years of Oshiomole.
Comrade Shaibu is a greedy man. Is he the only one in Edo State? Is he aware that Edo State is made up of Edo North, Edo Central, and Edo South? Twice the government of the deputy governor's region has produced a governor, deputy governor. What else does Shaibu want? Is he not aware that the next governor should come from Edo Central which has been marginalized in several ways? Don't common sense tell him he is asking for what no reasonable person will grant him? I am not a fan of the governor but in this regard, he has taken the right step. The Deputy Governor should go and hide. His greedy ambition is cruel. The deputy governor should think. From deputy to governor even when the last governor before this administration was from his zone. Edo is big. It is the turn of Edo Central. Deputy Shaibu go and rest.
With all sense of humility and modesty, Comerade Phillip Shaibu, should be greatful, for the speed, accelleration and privilleges he has gained as far as the political equation in Edo is concerned. He is not the smartest or most influential in Edo State to have moved from a 2-time HOA member, a house of rep member to a deputy governor bw 2008 and very just now. It will be tantamount to an incurable greed fo him to erroneously, assume he will succeed Obaseki after 8yrs of Comrade Adams Oshiomole from same Edo North. He should be grateful for Gods grace and fsvour 4 the achievement sofar, and patiently wait for more in the future. He is still a very young man.

Mr Adaze if you are aware of the plans of the governor. Governor Obaseki has from time agreed the seat goes to the Edo central as a way to rotate the seat peacefully. DG is very young he can wait. Look at Obama and Biden.
What about Edo Central? It will be insensitive and not well thought-out for the deputy to want to contest as the governor. Esan Central is a major stakeholder in Edo State and any reasonable person should support a candidate from the part. No part of Edo state should be sidelined it will not be fair.

Going by the above is the state trying to sideline the second largest group? It will appear so if the deputy want to contest. Edo has 7 LGA, Esan 5 and the other 6 which is Edo north constitute Etsako, Owan and Akoko Edo.
