Dr. Patel. I would like your insight on my experience. I got an otoplasty done this past February, and then went back for a revision in October because my left ear was still sticking out a bit more than my right. Overall, my ears look much better than they were pre-otoplasty, and yet I’m not 100% satisfied. I told my surgeon I wanted my ears pushed a bit more back and he didn’t want to saying my ears looked great and that i would have telephone ears. In the end, my surgeon was just slightly dismissive. 🙁
no, he is right. you've developed dysmorphia. you need to stop. your ears will never look perfect.
Is this true that the ears will come out LITTLE BIT after awhile or 6 months?

Yes, but right after you get the surgery you can't be rough on your ears but after a period of time you will be able to wear glasses/masks without trouble.

Man tomorrow is my surgery and you scaring me off lol. He has only 2 photos on website but he said he has done many in the past. I really don’t want my ear to get messed up since its not even that bad. It may be big and sticking from top but nowhere close like the photos. I hope he doesn’t mess me up! 😭

Wasn’t really in a lot of pain, my head was bandaged a lot and it was actually bothering me and had hard time sleeping, not because of pain but because of the bandage. The results are not what I am actually looking for but its still swollen so I have to wait to see how it will look in the up coming weeks. They told me to that it it will take sometimes to go normal & I know this one girl I watched on YT said that her ear looked so much different after she took the bandage off that she wasn’t to happy with until few weeks later, it changed 100% so I guess I have to be patient as well to see what’s going to happen. I was on General Anesthesia tho so I didn’t feel anything even hours after the surgery. How did yours go my friend?

I will try to save up for my girls, my 11 year old start to call her self monkey, my 4 year old has the same ears as well . They are both beautiful and the ears make them even prettier in their own way but hearing your child say that about her self hurts.

You should try the stitch method, no cutting or removing of cartilage

@@jesusheals3799 i think my final results was after 1 year or something like that. My ears are fine today, i can fell them like before, them just sticked out a little bit, imma say close to 0.5-1cm. The worst part on the recovery was the sleep, cuz i move a lot, but it was ok. Best decision in my life, i never felt that confident

You're messed up. It's not about how you feel here. If he is not old enough to make the decision on his own, then he definitely is not old enough.

@@rabimohibi1159 Just a little pain because I take my medication so I don’t feel nothing and I’m 21 yrs old. Buy her a travel pillow for her neck then put two pillows on the bed for her head she will be fine. I have been sleeping on the back of my head over a week now and the travel pillow help with my neck while I lay my head on 2 regular pillows. I’m fine now but I choose to wear my bandage for 2 weeks then I will wear headbands only at night after I take off the bandage. I’m happy with my result. Let me know if you have any questions
