I collected all the episodes of the construction of my dugout in one video. You may have already seen a similar video, but in the last video the construction process took 6 months, in this video you can see everything that happened to my dugout over 1.5 years. This is the perfect example of "You are your own worst critic." Every time you build a part of this I say "Wow, that's a pretty great idea." Then you just keep improving on it. Great video!

I love how despite using only minimal text and no actual speech you managed to convey everything clearly; the joy of success, the frustration/disappointment when things go wrong and what you were doing. I could quickly grasp what you were doing and why with almost everything and was amazed how you did that with just the camera and pointing/waving your hand to show where to focus.
Look, I'm just gonna say it. If I lived in Russia and had this dugout, I know where I'd be going before the next mobilization...

@@giostisskylaslook uh, I’m not sure if you’ve attended a history class before or not, but even when your “mother Russia” had 5 times its land mass and population power, it lost to a bunch of AIDS wielding, coke snorting degenerates in the west. And that was during the actual proxy war. We’re 2 years into a 2 day invasion, and mother Russia is still conscripting is young for the meat grinder. And it’s not even helping the local population like America at least attempted in Afghanistan. And Russia is absolutely conscripting men to fight and they even upped the age requirement on their conscription from 27 to 30 just to fulfill its hungry meat grinder. I hope the few hundred miles of extra farm land is worth the hundreds of thousands of people they’re spending on it. Not to mention all the de-ordantification of the land from all the explosives.

Just an idea but.
You should build a shelf of rocks or brick under the fireplace and behind it up the wall.
They will act like a thermal sink and store heat. Helping to keep the shelter warm for longer with less energy wasted.
its a great idea but you have to be careful what rocks you use because some rocks will explode when exposed to heat above 200 degrees F
. I know some have water stored but drilling a pilot hole in them will prevent any pockets from having pressure build up.

if he source sand that would be best for a sand battery and can often store 2-3hrs of heat

it's crazy how just tamping the post can be the success or failure of a wall failure or a collapse of a wall grew up doing stuff like this with fencing and it's so important.

I can remember each step of the way when building this, I kept up with you and watched every stage of it. That was so funny @11:10 when Pyosel came up and stuck his little nose in the ventilation pipe from the outside, I had to laugh about that! Lol!!! It's a nice cozy dugout, but what a huge work. I personally would've put a plastic tarp under the floor as well to prevent the ground moisture from coming up, but well done anyway .. and if to think that filming and editing took a lot of time and effort as well .. thumbs up! 👍

Alexey how are you doing. I don’t remember that fire pit . I must’ve missed that episode Alexey. You worked a lot on the dugout that’s for sure. So much it’s amazing. The finished project is magnificent. With all the meticulous improvements and plans. I don’t mind watching again. Besides I missed a couple things the first time. Still I can’t wait to see the finished cabin you started a couple months ago. And it’s always a joy to see Pyosel. He is a perfect companion for you.
hi, I’m doing well, this year we have too much snow and it’s impossible to do construction, soon the snow will melt and I will continue building the house that I recently started
Fun Fact: Concrete lasts longer if seawater is used instead of freshwater. It forms tiny pockets of unhardened concrete that become hard when it's exposed to air, this makes the structure last longer and is the reason why Roman architecture has lasted for so long.
