Bought my daughter an Epiphone ES-339 a couple years ago because the Pelham Blue version was as close as I could get to Dave Grohl's signature (diamond holes like a Trini Lopez instead of F holes, but whatever) and she loves it. It's a great guitar.

Just posted this in another channel’s comments, but it’s worth repeating here as well as a lot of this doesn’t get mentioned. The unique (to Epi) features of the Greeny are the one-piece neck, the open-book headstock, Grover tuners, MoP inlays, Gibson fretwire, custom bridge, Greenybuckers, upgraded electronics, mismatched control knobs and the carve-top is taken from a 3D scan of the original Greeny. Whether you think that plus the name (and associated artists) is worth the price is of course entirely personal.

Great recap of all the reviewed guitars! I own 12 Epiphones and the IBG range is fantastic. I did upgrade pickups and electronics but in most cases you don't need to. I only dislike the Probuckers, the Pro P90s and Alnico Classic Pro's are really good. The Epi LP Classic and the SG Custom were the only ones that arrved with faulty wiring. The other guitars were great right out of the box but i would always recommend a setup. The LP's and SG's Special P90s, 59/61 Standards and the Customs, as well as the ES-335 and the Firebird are the greatest value to prefer Epiphone over Gibson. I feel that all the signature models are overpriced and they contain less upgrades than the Epi-Gibson CS colaborations.

I have the Epi LP Modern in the exact color he showed. It's an excellent guitar - especially for that price! Very versatile guitar. The best Epi I think ever made was the 1960s Tribute Plus. You can only find them on the used market - but it is by far the best value for the money. My brother has a $2,500 Gibson Les Paul Standard and I think my Tribute Plus sounds every bit as good. Epi has come a loooooooong way the last 5 - 10 years. Great guitars!

No love for the Casino? I have the Casino and the IG 58 335 in sunburst....great, great guitars...the 335 with the wider nut and chunkier neck is a serious swiss army knife guitar...I absolutely love it! If I got another Epi it would be the black les paul custom with the ebony board.

My Xmas list is a little different when it comes to Epiphone personally. Out of all the Epiphones I tried, two really got my attention. A lot of the Epiphones to me felt inexpensive, and I would like to be more positive about them. To each their own and you still have to play them for your own opinion. What I thought was very good for the money? The Epiphone Korina Explorer wow! $1299 is really a steal for what you get and it feels and sounds
expensive. The others at $799 are the white or black Epiphone Custom Les Pauls. The Custom LP Epi felt better to me than the 1959 ones. Still, you never know without trying one out.
Here is another thought, for those who really want a Gibson? you can't beat the 18 months of equal payments
on some of the Gibson models out there. Just yesterday, I picked up my Gibson Les Paul/SG 61' outfit in
Translucent Teal!!! Keep in mind more on the emerald green side with hints of teal depending on how the light hits it. It is fantastic! $1999 but in 18 months you pay it off but get it at your door with one payment. There is no excuse to own a Gibson now with 18 months on some models. The neck is on the thin side but a fast neck it is. They have 12 months too on certain models and that's not bad either. You might like to try out some of the Gibson SG and Les Pauls with all the custom color options now. You do great videos I watch them all the time I just wanted to add a couple of things.

@@donthewatcher slight mods and pickup upgrades make all guitars better. Even all the guitars in Squires price range that start out better than Squire to begin with. So again in Squires price ranges you will many many guitars better than Squires. You want a Tele? All in One guitars make a Tele with a neck through body. It’s been called a Tele on steroids. Again I’m sorry to announce that if you bought a Squire you got ripped off. At every price point that you’ll find a Squire at there’s at least 24 to 36 other fender copies out there that are better. The boo hooing a woodworker who has made some guitars. (Tele and Strats and Offset bodies models all better than a Squire lol). Squires aren’t “the” worst. But they’re close to scraping the bottom. Sell yours and take the money and buy a Cort, Eart, Sire, or Wolf or quite a few more and you’ll enjoy a better Strat, Tele whichever Fender style you like.

Now if you took all those upgrades and put them in one of the brands I mention, than again the Squire will finish in last. So let’s just dumb it down a little more and go with guitars having zero upgrades. Right out of the box, Squires finish well behind the rest. It’s not hard to understand.
