Isn’t this song just beautiful? Written in 1931 and still popular and beloved 93 years later. That’s the power of a good song!
Countless people have covered it over the decades (most famously Mama Cass) and we understand why - it’s so much fun to sing! You might have heard us play this tune during one of our Livestreams but we just knew that we wanted to record a proper Duo Session with it, too.
We hope you all will sleep wonderfully tonight and will dream a little dream of your loved ones ♥

Both Ella Fitzgerald and Mama Cass would be cheering you on. This version is respectful to the old versions while being totally you. Your voices blend together in such natural harmony. Just beautiful. FWIW, this song is included in my wedding video.

Ozzie Nelson did the 1st Original , then many cover it after...yet True TM&TP are famous for it smhw!

Flawless. From the stripped back production with the wonderful guitar and ukulele work to the beautiful harmonies (with Mona switching back and forth from high to low harmony), it doesn't get any better than this. Great work ladies.
My wife is a singer and she always includes this tune in her set list. I sat her down today to listen to this for the first time. I watched for her expression (smile) and when it was over, all she said was "perfect".

@@MonaLisaTwins I have heard about 100 versions of this song, one of my favourite songs ever. I will have to listen about another 50 times to be sure, but I think this may be my favourite version. Your arrangement and your voices are absolutely beautiful. I sadly have to now place your version of Maxwell Silver Hammer to #2... in my heart.

If this was 1931 when the song was written, I would swear that they wrote this song for Mona and Lisa. A lot of famous singers have covered it, including Kate Smith, Louis Armstrong, Barbara Carroll, Nat King Cole, Doris Day, Joni James, Dean Martin, and of course Mama Cass, but no one does it better than you two.

One of my favorite from back in the day. When John Phillips was trying to get a new group formed ( that would become the Mama's and Papas), one of his best friends suggested Cass Elliot saying "for sure she is a big girl, but she can sing her a** off". Cass definitely had a wonderful voice.

Among my playlists, like Beatles, Pop, Classic Rock, etc. I have one called Mid-Century Pop. This was one of the first songs I added. Cass Elliot's cover is good, but there are several that are excellent, including this one by the twins! Excellent choice, ladies, and a superb performance. ¡Bravísima!

I personally just started learning how to play the Uke in January, and yesterday, I completed a milestone by playing Imagine for 400 people at a local event. I never really thought I could do it, but for once, I pushed myself and succeeded.
