I've never been interested in snowboarding, why am i watching this?

same here, never been interested in snowboarding but I think it is so amazing because even we can appreciate how difficult this stuff must be.
Should check out the skiing then too, which I am far less interested in being a skater. The skiers can make way sicker looking tricks while the snowboarding looks very similar every run.

@@benjaminkis3382 ok bud... go watch a snowboard slope style where they hit some rails at the top and then 3 big jumps, and then go watch the skiers hit the same style course and every run varies quite a lot between skiers while most snowboarders just hit triple or quad rodeos while grabbing melon or Indy. The grabs on skis are more so what my comment was pertaining to, and how they can cross their ski’s and double grab different parts like a venom, octograb, truck driver etc.
@@LJT9393 I watched a lot. But I don't know. In my opinion freestyling on ski doesn't look nearly as cool. But that's just my opinion

I used to watch the X Games as a kid (they're as old as I am!). It's amazing to watch the sports progress over the years. Snowboarding has reached literal video game status. I can barely do a 540 without falling on my ass, yet these guys are doing switch triple cork 1620s 😲 It's amazing. Thanks X Games for continuing to provide excellence.
I can barely make it down a green or blue run without falling. These guys are incredible.

Gerards first run was so smooth and clean with his flips and jumps with the landing he deserved 100 points that run

Kyle Mack run shows exactly what’s wrong with snowboarding, judging doesn’t count style at all. Which is against the roots of snowboarding. Kyle Mack deserved better and so does snowboarding.
@Arnie2-D2 my thoughts exactly, and your comparison of aerial skiing is exactly what I think of too. to many non snowboarders are getting involved and making it into mainstream bs instead of sport created fundamentally

"No disappointement this year".. I must say yes.. some.. Yuki Kadono was not able to get any clean run (I was really expecting some crazy tricks from him). .. Red gerard fell on his 3rd attempt, which could have been a crazy run. Mc Morris would probably have gotten gold if he landed his triple cork on the last jump. and a lot of riders fell on the course even in run 3. I don't know if the day or the snow was bad? But it looks like they had a lot of trouble landing the tricks on this course. Sad. Anyway, commentators are really good. And the lines from Kyle mack, was amazing. Markus clevelands rails section with backflip etc was insaaane. Thanks sharing the video.

Late but there was no kicker infront of it so it would be really hard to do I think. This is the only reason I'd wanna be in xgames tho, to do creative and uniaue lines. Check out Ben Raybourns runs in xgames skate park from 2015&2016 if you care about skateboarding. He got some pretty cool stuff in there

Darcy's run was scored proper. Hardway 270 gap to front board. Switch bs 1260 on the first table then front 1440 nose grab off the toes deep with style. Back 1440 triple deep off the last table. Reds run was sick but lacks pop off the last table. Landing just at the knuckle

ME TOO. Torstein must've been banished from competition due to being too obscenely steezy. The course features would just fall apart under that level of steeze stress.

taught runs on cobert two nights ago. How to run the entire one i couldnt do it. but I can show feelings of riding the mountain heal and toe. so if you cant go toe till switch or heal till switch or stop you should probably start

Snowboarding aside, this video was very informative - I had no idea the Regina in Regina Saskatchewan rhymed with the more proper term for a cooter.
Didn't know who Corning was when they first showed him at the top of the course before announcing his name, but saw the Never Summer logo on the bottom of his board and knew he was probably from Colorado.

I think it's incredible how well these guys falling doing a 1600 triple cork over an 80 foot gap, and it's nothing all a vast majority of the time. I go off a 6 footer, catch an edge and want to die nearly breaking my tailbone... 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️

my setup Burton Unic Yes boots with Yes unic board 2019/2020 156. Board not so great at high speeds feels flat but if you 158 it might be killer
