      Lol Even if BB king could alternate pick I serious doubt he would be shredding. Seriously.. Shredding isn't the end all to beat all. These guys shred like all get out, yet none of them will be referred to as King of anything! It's not about technic and scales as it is as much as feel. That's the difference between BB and these guys. You can feel what he play. I don't care how fast someone can play nor does the average listener or if that was chromatic 3rds..lol. Gotta give em something they can feel.. Be yourself there is no correct way.. Anyway you can get the notes out clean with good phrasing is the right way!

    By simply his free content on CZcams Claus Levin has taught me to improvise which, until July 2021 (first time I watch a video on his channel) I thought I could never accomplish. I believed I was an intermediate frozen forever at the level I could only memorize little by little a tab. Now on whatever backing track I download I can play along without ever stopping for 10, 15 or 20 minutes, and that soon, without any preparation. I had never believed I could do this, and I credit 100% Claus Levin for making this possible. Thank you so much Claus.

      I've been following and using Claus' programs for 2.5 years now.. My ear is sharper, my playing has increased over 1000%, no lie; His approach includes how you consciously use your brain-power and processing to actually master each tiny piece, then stitch them together effectively, and before you know it, you're jamming in the zone. Composing in the zone.. I am so grateful I ran into his site over 2 years ago.. (yeah, I did buy most of the programs he has, but man, they are worth more than what I paid, for what I learned about my playing, my growth towards as much mastery as I can.. IT WORKS! you and how you think about your playing is the only thing that drives you further.. think sucess with out waverig, and you master it.

    • @guitarmastery
      @guitarmastery  Před 2 lety +3

      Hi Karen. Your technique will definitely not clean itself up. But, in the beginning it can be a good idea not to have too high standards for every single detail of what you are doing so that you can start playing something that sounds like music. Once you can play songs and know a scale shape or two, it's time to level up your commitment and start practicing with a focus on accuracy.

    No one wants to be a shredder. It stands for something unwanted. It evokes imagery of misunderstood underdog genius person although without the genius. In search of numbing the non existent aesthetic loss of the spirit, a quest comparable to pursuing a figure skating career without seeing the unmarked water gone frozen, right beneath them, awaiting a landing never finalized. Devour the things we can’t explain, put them on paper and sign it with your soul. BB King’s enlightened.
    Makes a world feel comfort and sanity.
    Shredding doesn’t heal the world .
    Doesn’t make you rich.
    Don’t get you far with the ladies.
