What a movie suggestion!!! This movie shattered box office records in telugu industry back in the day..this movie was remade in multiple languages..its Hindi remake "wanted" with salman khan revived salman's career
Woah, you guys are reacting to the OG version of Wanted film, which as Imtiaz mentioned earlier (Wanted 2009 film had Salman Khan playing Radhe - the Hindi Counterpart of Mahesh Babu’s character, while Ayesha Takia played the Hindi counter part of Ileana Dcruz’s character). But honestly, Pokiri is literally the better version I enjoyed along with the 2009 version, and Andrew, the actor who played the corrupted cop in the police station, is actually Ashish Vidyarthi, he is still one of the famous versatile actors of the Bollywood industry, known for his roles as villains in the 90’s and early 2000’s. The movie also had another versatile actor of the same category as Vidhyarthi, which you guys saw earlier: Sayaji Shinde (the one with the thicker moustache and whom you guys saw in the first few minutes in the film), even he too is considered one of the best actors too. 😁👌🏻

One of those movies which needs added context. The many existing tropes seen in commercial cinema at present were given birth to in this very cinema. The very peak commercial movie has seen this century and all its remakes look more like parodies than anything. Mahesh babu in all his movie star glory, puri on steroids and together they made history. Telugu cinema was never the same again.

The format of commercial movie making changed in Telugu Film Industry with this movie. The way the film shoots done, the editing techniques, music and bgm choices almost everything put a bench mark in film making. Puri Jagannath who is the director known for shooting without wasting any footage. He knows how much be has to shoot, the same length he shoots keeping editing in his mind already, so shoot finishes very fast. His dialogues are one lines are sensational till today and he is the one who started the trend of a director who writes thier own dialogues. Twist is India's best movie story writer Vijayendra Prasad (writer of Bahubali, RRR and Bhajrangi Bhaijaan etc) is a fan of this dorector 😊.

This was a time when Puri Jagannath sir used to make good commercial mass entertainers. God knows what happened with Liger.
This one was a great movie, with a simple story, lots of punch dialogues, an "incredible man" image characterization of a famous hero, and a great soundtrack (Mani Sharma sir outdid himself in this composition). All the ingredients of a great commercial movie. The reason why the remake of this movie was a success in Hindi was that Salman Khan had the brand image needed to sell this commercial movie, which fit in with the theme of the movie.
