I love all of your hacks, but my favorite is the shower rod and garland in the doorway. So beautiful!

The pressure rod in the doorway just blew my mind! I have always wanted to put garland up there, but didn't want to put nails in the walls. This is a game changer and I can't wait to do it this year!!!

Your channel & Bargain Bethany's are my 2 fav craft channels bc y'all have THE most creativity:) I love the idea of reimagining the things I already have to decorate. In this economy, it makes sense to be more frugal!
The Dollar Tree ornaments this year is so woodland chic this year🎉. I got a gold wire basket from DT used a piece of flannel fabric to put inside, collected pine cones flocked them and put berry picks and the pine cones in the basket. Adding the scent sticks in the basket makes the room smell nice. A bow wrapped around the entire basket was my final touch
This was a super video Kathryn! I love your " use what you've got" philosophy. It's just fun and allows for being creative which sometimes we never have time for. My tree isn't up yet, but I'm going to do minimal decorating this year. Just simple and adding some warmth to my home. Last year I did a Woodland tree. You would have loved it I think. All golds, whites, birch bark ribbon, and a Burberry dupe ribbon too. Lots of owls, earthy and just cozy tree. Wish I could show you pictures. It was my best tree ever!

I have a case of 24 of those little drawers waiting for me to stain them and glue beads for pulls. I already have a felt advent calendar that I made when my kids were little, but I keep buying ones every year, so I thought it would be fun to do my own. I don't know if it's cheaper, but it's a lot more fun!
thanks for the idea of beads for the pulls! I was thinking about making one for myself but didnt want to pull the drill out and was going to wander the store and consider other options for pulls. you made that part easier for me LOL ;)

Thanks for encouraging repurposing of items we already have. It seems like "influencers" I use to follow for inspiration only use their posts and stories as ads. I really like the tension rod garland hack. That's such a great idea. I need to look for those giant cookies. They're so cute. I'm going for a nutcracker, reindeer theme (sort of) and I want to make a full size nutcracker for my front porch,as well as ornament topiaries. I love the bows in the tree. The ornaments at the end would be a cute tree topper for a little girls tree if they have them in their rooms or even to put in the main Christmas tree.

My fav is the advent calendar made out of boxes. My kids are adults now and tired of the little chocolates. So flexible❤
I love them all! I don't do much cause I live in a studio and don't have the space to keep holiday decorations. What I do is decorate my plants, add lights, change some vases out from white to red. Small little things. I love what you did! Looks amazing! 🌲😁💜

My favorite project was the gingerbread house centerpiece! I loved the advent calendar but (realistically) know I would not tackle that project. My favorite find was the wood bead garland that looks like marshmallows - you have to do a hot cocoa project with them!

I've been hanging garlands in my doorways for many years. No curtain rod needed, just cheap command hooks. Less to store off season, too.

Thank you for wonderful ideas. I organize by type and label the bin. I put an instruction sheet for order of decorating the tree. I take pictures each year and of my table setting, recipes used, and movies watched and create a pinterest board.

Favorite thing was wrapping up the Christmas tree and sticking in the picks and, of course, the topper. It was spectacular. I liked the spackling on wood to create snow. Genius.

I organize my tree ornaments by size. We have a 12.5 foot beast of a Christmas tree that is almost 30 years old and still looks great. We have to start at the top and put on the lights and ornaments in sections, so having smaller ornaments at the top is necessary. We gradually add larger ornaments with a few small ones mixed in throughout the tree. I'm glad it's only an annual job.
