- A collection of British television bloopers from a special televised in the mid-nineties and hosted by Terry Wogan. The sitcoms Keeping Up Appearances and The Brittas Empire feature the most prominently. There are also some entertaining bloopers with Tony Robinson, Frank Thornton (getting tongue-tied during a Star Trek spoof), Keith Barron getting tangled with a kitchen apron and the late Anton Rodgers offering his costar a non-existent chair.
The Brittas Empire, abso-bloody-lutely hilarious. Chris Barrie was spot on as the architypal pompous self important going-nowhere-fast little Englander. And the ditzy neurotic receptionist whose name I can't remember, who kept her twin babies under the reception desk, hahaha, brilliant.
@@edwardwoodward8052 ... Cheers.
JohnPaul Dixon Harriet Thorpe played the ditzy neurotic receptionist. 😃
I always found Helen (the wife) hilarious. It was a great cast.
I swear Chris Barrie knows every language of the universe. Also seen in the Red Dwarf smeg ups
Ohh the 90s. Humanity peaked.
2:27 Wogan: "Second is where you find the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest".
2019: LOL, if only.
You can tell how old these clips are: there is a joke about the UK coming SECOND in the Eurovision song contest!!!!
Andy B, absolutely! Now we’re lucky if we make second from last!
Actually we would win it just two years later!
Now it's a hope to be better than 2nd from bottom!
I love the brittias empire 🤣😂
R I P Terry, one of our greatest.
2:19 - It's Rimmer from Red Dwarf!
Tony Robinson with a full head of hair!!!
Didn't see Maid Marian then? Guess he mostly had a hat on in that.
Watching the legendary Judy Cornwell break down makes me SO happy
Loving that May to December outtake! I loved May to December!
I loved it too. It was one of the gems of the 1990s.
I’ve been watching it on CZcams 👍🏼👍🏼
I'm strangely attracted to Mr Brittas
New red dwarf has just been released with Chris Barrie in them
He does look ridiculously cute here.
Booby Manfanny Me too. 😍😘☺
Go Brittas!
Capt Peacock in a Star Trek parody. lol
yeah, what was that? I want MOAR!
Think that was from an episode of Noel’s House Party
3:13... that smile ahaha so cute
my names gavin mr brittas lol
onslow is very cute
I totally agree! I've fancied him for years, and my family thought I was very odd (apart from my daughter who bought me a Keeping up Appearances box set last Christmas)
awesome
I always loved these, but why spoil things by naming it Bloopers, when the UK calls them Bloomers? At least let us keep some of our words, you're taking over everything else!
Bloopers is the generic term, but 'bloomers' is used here as a joke. 'Auntie' was a well known nickname for the BBC so instead of Auntie's Bloopers for a show of BBC outtakes, they called it Auntie's Bloomers.
Miss Wogan
why is Chris so cute?
OH MY GAWD!
Patricks husband wouldn't necessarily be wrong now.
God bless terry
Red Dwarf semg ups.
Where can that Star Trek skit with Noel Edmonds be found???
Good question. With Frank Thornton in it, it looks like it'd be great to see in full. But I've got no idea. A search of Frank and Noel's acting credits on Imdb fails to show them ever acting on the same show.
@@DoctorBrodski That was Frank Thornton??? *looks again* By thunder! I knew those bags under Scotty's eyes looked familiar, but the lack of mustache (and I suppose the presence of hair) threw me off.
It would have also helped if he'd said something like "Mrs Slocombe, are you free?" But that would have been mixing genres on the Starship Enterprise ;)
@@DoctorBrodski Yes, quite a bit. Still, there's a bizarre thought: a "Star Trek" spoof featuring the staff of Grace Brothers as the crew of a starship.
John Inman would take over from George Takei very well and Trevor Bannister could have played a rather droll Captain Kirk. I could also see Mollie Sugden getting plenty of laughs with references to how her pussy was coping with outer space.
He didn't call him Tim, he called him Sid
No, he called him Tim. There is another character called Tim and he always said the name the same way.
I can definitely pick out what you are hearing but it is a similar effect to when people mishear song lyrics.
It doesn't matter what he called him, he got it wrong. ;-)
Hyacinth Fuckit rather than Bucket
It's Fouquet.
Bloopers = boring tv.
+Carole Campbell Not to a lot of people, who find them funny, so speak for yourself. Besides, if you feel that way, why seek them out?
WELL I'VE WATCHED FOR NEARLY 5MINS, AND AIN' SMILED YET. THIS WAS ALL SHITE ANYWAY
Hardly surprising considering your post content and the use of all capitals. It gives us a good idea of the kind of person you are... and that person would probably be more at home with Jeremy Kyle.
Stupid canned laughter, voted down.
Nobody cares why you voted down, dear.
