  • Our perennial garden tour of Coughton Court Gardens in Warwickshire, England (UK). The tour includes some commentary throughout, but it is mostly a peaceful walk with birds, fountains and other nature sounds. It is a "Court", but it looked like a castle to us. Magnus Birch inherited the court from his grandmother, Mrs. Throckmorton. He is married to Imogen Clare Birch Throckmorton.

I really enjoyed watching this and appreciated that you knew when to put forth comments and when to allow the viewer the opportunity to enjoy the peace and quiet of the garden.

I do like this garden. The shropshire lad is my favorite DA rose and I saw that they had it in their garden. It looks very nice. I like the open area too. Very spacious.

I've really enjoyed this, although it makes me pine for the U.K. ;-) I feel like I'm strolling around with you and love the crunching of the gravel paths. I also cut off the flowering stalks on my lamb's ear. The benefit of leaving them is how much the bees love those little flowers. I suspect if you have a lot of it, leaving the stalks on is striking. If there are only a few flowering stalks... they can be more annoying to the eye. :-P Oh! And that plant you were not sure of in the caption was Knautia macedonica. It tends to seed itself around here (Pacific Northwest). Thank you so much for sharing these gardens.

I love this garden! The perennials are so colorful and vibrant! They look so pretty next to each other creating a beautiful color palette! I was just wandering what is the name of the hot pink or light magenta color perennial in the mixed border. It looks so pretty!!😍

10:11 looks more like Phyllis Bide as Lady Hillingdon is a yellow climber. Phyllis is featured heavily at David Austin, although this could also be another polyantha variety.
