Thank you for doing a android review for this gimbal. I was scared that after looking at the reviews of the app on the play store. I was going to regret getting the flow. It really only performs as a basic gimbal on the native camera but it does a good job stabilizing like all the others.
Hey man thanks for doing this! I noticed all the iphone reviews and I was like.... c'mon I know there are a ton of Android users that would want this. I ordered it anyway hoping for the best. I'm still rocking a Galaxy S10+ with a DJI OM5 so I'm hoping for some improvement. I primarily use a gimbal while hiking and backpacking so the form factor and fast startup is important. I think the Tripod may be pretty useless on trail unfortunately. The fact that you can charge the phone from the gimbal is a big plus for me as well when out filming. Bummer Samsung won't release their 60 fps functionality to 3rd party developers! :-P Very informative! We are a small channel too so I appreciate your time sir in putting this together, subbed!
I plan on using this backpacking as well and I think I can use a long selfie stick from my insta360 360 camera to get it up higher and stay balanced.

Nicely done. I have a S23 Ultra and I buyed a Zhiyun Smooth 5s which is not compatible with samsung. The phone couldn't connect at all with the gimbal. From your review I see that both of them can connect with S23 Ultra with android app.
S23 works on both but the flow functions so much better I sold my OM6 on eBay a few days ago.

I would like to know, the live mode can be run normally in the background?
After turning on the live mode, can the tracking function be turned on by using default s23 ultra camera?
Yes, live mode runs in the background. I could use the S23 ultra default camera app with live mode but I could only get tracking working if the camera was in portrait mode.
update, now you can use the 4 cameras in om6 so finally we can use the 10x camera, also you you can use 4k 60fps
Now they just need to make their active track better.
Hi, may I know is it true that DJI OM6 support Samsung s23 ultra all lenses? Cuz according to DJI Official Supported Device site, it only support wide lens camera and main camera only
Thanks for using an Android for these tests. Were you able to use the Insta360 app with the Rode wireless mic? When I tried this with a Pixel phone, there was no option in the Mimo (DJI OM6) app to use a wireless mic. Thanks.
Hey so the Insta really uses all the lenses of the S22 Ultra from the native app and using the wheel. I have the OM 5 and of course that doesnt. I thought about getting the OM6 thinking maybe it will this time but seeing the Insta does I will be getting this if if truly uses the lenses. Thanks
The insta is just better. I dont have my s22 ultra anymore to reverify lens compatibility... i wouldnt put it past eother company to roll out an update and change supported lenses around.

Hi can you make a video of samsung s23 ultra with insta 360 flow but this time use the native camera app instead of insta 360 apps
I would but live view doesn't work in landscape for some reason. Otherwise it's a basic gimbal with the default camera app.. no zoom wheel just start and stop recording

Yes it works the same as the s23 ultra except on front facing mode there is only 1080p on the s22 ultra.
I have no clue if i should get it or not lol. I like the idea of the flow and 360 camera from insta.
If you plan on recording indoors, I would not get the Insta360 X3, if that is the 360 camera you were eyeing. MAYBE their 1" sensor version is better at $800, but I have the Insta360 one X and X3 and both perform very bad indoors and in shade outdoors. When the lighting is good enough though.. they are awesome.

Is it true people are having problems uploading or editing their videos after filming? Seems like the app had bad reviews
The app is reliable for me. I just used the insta 360 app yesterday to grab and reframe some video off my X3 camera without problems. They update their software and camera firmware frequently too.
