a dog that looks for work, is a good dog.
I've been here in the Philippines mostly the last 10 years , the first 3 years I rented , the rent was 3500 pesos , then 4500 , then 6k pesos a month so it did the math on the average Philippino house cost and decided to build , I want my wife to have a house paid for if I bite the bullet 😢 so in 2017 we built a 100 square meters house on our 200 meters lot that I bought the first year . Now this house has paid for itself if I were still renting . All my bikes are paid for and our sari sari is paid for , my utilities are power 7k to 8k with 2 aircons , soda cooler and fridge , water 350 , internet 1,150 with tv and trash is 40 pesos every 3 months . We spend about 3k to 3500 a week on food , 950 propane and about 1500 scooter gas . I bank 65 % of my retirement every month and I move money here when the rate is up . If it's down I wait .I am 100 % debt free and live off grid when I go to America 🇺🇸 debt free there too . I didn't work 36 years of my life to debt it out . We are building a new store and restaurant 100 square meters now . About to start the roof beams if the rain holds off lol . I love living here in Solano Nueva Vizcaya Philippines 🇵🇭.

If you don't like the Philippines you don't have to cone or stay . That's called freedom of choice .
I am doing the same brother.
@@jamestopeka2236 God Bless you.🙏
That 28 dollar beach condo video was a youtube classic !!
That's a good looking dog there. Free security in return for free food and shade.
Hope you keep the dog. I bet his the last of the highrachy
Good Job; Im renting in the cheapest San Diego housing of only 500 sq ft with AC that doesnt work. I rent 1700+ a month including sewage; water; garbage; my electricity is separate...life is ROUGH and Im alone on Social Security. Scary life. You tell Fatima she's a lucky girl. I love your 2 houses.
Move to Asia
Try living some other nation. You can live nice for 1000 or so a month in many nations.
@@fipinochildrenplaying2801 • For now... the U.S. dollar is in fast decline now that the U.A.E. dropped the dollar.
Best of luck to ya
You can convert it into the Overstay Road Saloon & Haberdashery
Now this is bringing back memories of when I first saw the king.Nice seeing someone that chooses to live without all the bell and whistles instead of having a big monthly payment. Freeing up more money for food and travel is smart.
*Great work bro , been following you here and there on your videos for a few years now*
The barrack sounds good. That is great. 43 USD for a extra crib next door. You can't beat it.
Don’t mind living in this house, better than being homeless here in USA, everything here is so expensive rent is unaffordable, so i will be grateful if I have this nice simple abobe!❤
Im paying $3,300 a month for a 3 br 2 bath house in Northern California. I will be visiting the Philippines this fall. Living paycheck to paycheck the American dream.
Nice place, nice price.
I pay 4000 php for a nice 2 room (up/down) townhouse south of Manila. There’s a video on my channel about how I fixed it up. I’ve rented several different places in different areas since I’ve been here and have only ever paid between $40 and $100 a month for rent.
I haven’t been spending very much at all living here in the Philippines (since 2018). As a single guy, my cost of living averages around $250 a month. At these prices, I don’t have any plans to ever move back to the US.
I’m thinking about relocating to Iloilo after I officially retire at the end of this year. Maybe my cost of living will be higher there. We’ll see.
You are doing it right. Pay less and save more. Life here is good.
@@theghostofpennsylvania_11 thanks 🙏 I agree.
Iloilo is beautiful with that Spanish architecture, the averages price for a 2 br 1 bath is on avg around 350 usd.. streets are clean, better quality of food and traffic lights work and they follow the signals😅.. but the brownouts are pretty rapid and can last up to a week sometimes.. but it's still worth it..👍🏾🇵🇭
@@RONALD...... Hope they get their electric issues sorted out soon. Brownouts here where I live are rare.
Nice find king! I had the same setup in Iligan City in 2016, 2017 also for P2500 per month and it still rents today for the same P2500 although the exchange back then was 50:1 and now with the great rate, it’s next to nothing.👍🏻
Looks great. And you know your neighbors on one side.
Your points on cost is what I've been seeing. Absolutely true on being able to adapt and be happy. My bathroom has been my kitchen for a year while I remodel the kitchen. Love it. simple living is best.
And here i was planning on 15000 per month when i get to Cebu. This video changes my mind. Thanks you sir.
Check out the vlogs from ex-pensive expat. He's got several low cost houses he has shown.
No way you could ever get something like that In USA not even close. 45 dollars a month. Very easy to put a fridge in there. Close the windows down put some heavy insulated curtains and blast the AC on and turn it into an igloo. I would buy a seat for the toilet. That place is super affordable to maintain. I can see myself there. My house in USA costs 300k USD and if it was rented 2000 USD a month. The damn stress. Best part these filipinas are happy being there and won’t complain. Beautiful filipinas. When you save that kind of money spending 100-300 extra on a Filipina to feed her and clothe her is nothing.
That is why you need a Filipina. They will show you nice places to rent that are cheap. Some of these filipinas like Fatima are worth their weight in gold. Not even food is expensive if you are eating local food.
🤣🤣
The culture shock will hit with the noise in a place like that, the roosters, the heat, being in a really local area. Trust me viewing on film is different than in person. You may be like hell no and want to go straight to Makti
Great idea. I see a lot of advantages to having a full kitchen and extra space, for keeping cooking and get togethers. Electricity, running water, and a toilet can never be too appreciated for parties. And, it's a business expense. Dog thinks it's home lol.
Great video it's nice to see your mellowed as times gone by from an old viewer 🇵🇭🙏🇬🇧
Its Great price! Makes sense. Only problem I see is some of home invasion from the locals. If they get your passport, ATM card, cash or cellphone leave you in a bad situation without access to money. Cannot always carry everything with you when you leave the house like passport.
That is why it is dangerous to live ALONE in P.I. ! I either had "room mates", or lived in a compound with people I knew and trusted. Those few times I did live alone, I was paranoid as f___! (for all of the reasons that you listed)
Love your videos. I have a cheap apartment in Barrett that I rent. I don’t get over as much as before. I made the famous mistake of building a home in Mendanou for my girlfriend. Now we are split up after 3 years it was great while it lasted. Keep up the good work.
And another one bites the dust.
You should get interviewed on one of these channels. Its always good for other expats to hear these stories and how things happened. Did her attitude change once the house was finished? You went from hero to problem?
You mean you didn't see that coming?.. it's common knowledge not to do that. But owell lesson learned..
Sorry for your loss , that's a brutal takedown 😢
The 28usd per month beach condo is better, classic vid
A classic. But he had some drinkers that look to stick there. 😅
I think he said this place has more infrastructure : kitchen, washroom etc
@@JB-hp9vv needs to repost that video
Perspective, my uncle had an outhouse, no doors on his home, a well, a wood burning stove, box fan, a 300 dollar Ford tractor, and he was happy Les cest les bonton roulette. Nice place
I remember 28 dollar beach condo video. that was the first video I saw from you and have been watching your videos since then. I love your positive attitude towards life. please when you come to pattaya let me know and lets have a beer together. love you man.
I think Marcus quit drinking.

A perfect extension, well done. The girls will make it work.
Great Thoughts and Input ... Common Sense !!
The Bunk House. Whoever's doing the cooking is now called Cookie. Your guests are now ranch hands or hired guns. Make sure to set up a water trough and a hitching post out front.
Absolutely love the Kingdom Expansion like a mini Louisiana Purchase 👍
You really like that new place? I’d hate to see what you wouldn’t like.
K-9 security outstanding!
That’s an awesome set up!! 😃
Great video and you make very pertinent points. I've seen so many expats on my travels who dive into renting high end accommodation because they have what they think is a big stash of cash from a pension payout only to go broke and go home within the first few years. Not just the property cost causing that but living like they did when they were on two-week holidays previously but at that time only on a minimal pension. Admittedly, I live in an apartment which is far bigger than I need here in Korea, but I am in full time employment and get paid a housing allowance (which I exceed!). However, when I retire, what you have suggested is the way to go. Thanks for sharing.
SCORE!!! Makes sence. Nice little extension King! Best regards. 👍🙂
Love your channel. Love the new landing pad!
Hello Marcos and his blessed family! This video reminds me of your KING'S CASTLE BEACH HOUSE, VERY OLD VIDEO ($28 USD Per Month Condo in the Philippines - Near the Beach!)...
Another fantastic video sharing, enjoyed watching, start to the end... Full support already. Good luck & Best regards/Ned👍👏👍
Smart move Mr Marcos you did good God bless you and your family love your videos.
I would rent that house just for that precious dog to hang around once in a while.
Love that dog he's a good dog.
Congratulations on your new place sir,the king and his family deserve the best, looks clean and well painted 😎🤠🤞🙌
The Ponderosa. Got a legit compound going on.
Great idea.
The dog it seems greatly appreciate 🙏 dog food, buddy.
Love it! 😊 Great possibilities! 🏠
I SAW FATIMA AT BAKERY SHOP IN DAAN BANTAYAN. SHE'S BEAUTIFUL IN PERSON I DIDN'T APPROACH HER SINCE IM ON A MOTORCYCLE.
This is something l can relate to. More within my budget. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Thought Philippines was expensive. Wish l could find a woman that would accept those conditions. That is a perfect woman. You have a good woman there
I will accept that 😊😅
Hi 👋 Mark.
I just became a new subscriber to your channel.
Congratulations 👏 on your "new" place,..it's looks like a great place, especially for that price. Put in some furniture and the proper appliances and it will look like a "million dollar mansion".
Thanks for a great video and keep up the great work.
You could hook up a piece of a hose to that spigot, and bypass the bucket. Great video bro
Its a little rough but if you added a few things it can be ok....2500 pesos is cheap.
Nice little Cantina Chalet aka guesthouse. Get u a couple of those in window fans to put in the aircon holes, perfect!
This is a great way to save money. Congratulations
Next time on the Donkey Show; Haters claim Mark gets kicked out of his castle by Fatima and has to rent a house next door!
I may have to make that comment just to encourage him to make another...
Thats the deal of the century Marcus, you would be hard pressed to find another rental for that price anywhere on Northern Cebu. We charged P14000 per month for our house at Sogod before, although it was much bigger including 3 bathrooms, plus fully furnished.
Or you can call it your dog house if you and Fatima ever fight. 😆
Thats extremely good. Wow . 😮😊
Can’t beat that.
Very inspiring person you are brother it feels good just to watch this video along with all the other videos of yours I watch I'm happy for you and hope to do the same in the future deal of a lifetime
Make sure you use a strong lock on that gate. Someone could easily cut off a cheap lock and have access to the house.
Love it
Great content brother, you are right rent/mortgage #1 expense. Great new house barracks
made my day happy sir u r so real
If you are running from Interpol; otherwise, no way.
Awesome deal
That was cool next door house 🙌
Brother, I have no idea what it’s about your vids, but let me tell ya, I love them! Keep um rollin buddy!
Hey Marco, that place doesn't look to bad. Especially for the price. Stay safe my friends. God bless you all. 🙏🙏🇺🇸
Awesome. Here in TL, the wife had her house before we met. Pay a total of 760 USD for the house, maintenance, lights, water and internet. That place for 43 usd, great deal, especially being right next door. Cheers Marcos and Family.
moving on up. Looks good!
Beautiful place!
Adapt, Overcome, Improvise
Cool😅 I was just telling my wife, damn Marco just rented a house like ours 😊 an one comment I got was you might as well live outside, I said well you can live outside in the Philippines 😊 good video 😊
Modest living its always appreciated
You should call it 'The Lodge' seeing as that's where you'll be doing the cooking and that's what you'll be cooking it in!
Nothing beats the $28 beach front condo
the most important thing in life is to have a roof over your head. This people is contented with what they have. thats a decent place I wouldnt mind living a house like what you showed here. I like living in a simple house and life. these couple appreciating what they have. God bless and you have a great place
What a great hang out
You are amazing ❤
Pretty nice spot, prefer a bigger yard but for that price I'll garden in hanging pots. Dog is a nice bonus. I'd probably add a shower head but other than that it's great.
Pls keep the dog in. I watched videoed mostly that have pets including in their vlogs. I have 2 myself and I am pretty sure many viewers here too were animal lovers so having pups in your videos would be amazing. ❤️from Florida 🇺🇸
$43/mo. I don't think i can take it if you get any classier.
Great job Colomonsi.
New subscriber. Good video
Mark are there other apartments in the bogo area for rent? I am new and in Tacloban. There are not a lot of options here. Thx for sharing.
I take it no arguments over there about who didn't put the toilet seat down 😅
Nice! 😊
Just admit it, you’re willing to pay a couple hundred bucks per month to get your in-laws out of the house
🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
😂😂😂
Do you have screens on the windows?
a house same as that in Sydney Australia is about $2000 a month!
Can’t shake a stick at that my friend. Right next door 🚪
You lucky man, that's the way you live a good life is a simple life none financial stress brother 👍
Thanks bro
Wow,that's nice
Yellow n green..nah green n gold
Aussie ..yeah good place fot the price.. was gonna say ..
Upscale from your first $28 condo.
Long time subscriber..
That is wonderful Marketos, I thought the house was by the Beach front.
I love the dog. He probably very intelligent.
I like the place, and the price.
Take care that you don't spoil them girls.
With a bit of TLC you could make that very livable... would paint that place from top to bottom, fix roof/ceiling, throw down tile in every room, a few modern conveniences (TV, ref, aircons) and that would make a nice little bachelor pad. Would need a 2+ year lease, drop a few thousand $$$ to get it up to western standards and boom, you're in business.
Where in the Philippines is that?? Is it close to the hospital??
The banana bungalow, it will make a nice little guest house for family and visitors, great decision, cheers.
Electric will higher than rent, go figure
Does air conditioner even work with windows like that? They look like they would leak air horribly
Hey bro, that's a good find, but we'd like to know what city you're in as the Philippines is made up of thousands of islands. Currently looking for a place in Manila but always open to hearing about other options. Thanks.
This Is Great Now You Have Boarding House For All The Company Mark ! 😁😁😁
That Doggo was like "i made residence here now you gonna kick me out?!" Lol
