This probably the best Overkill Global episode there's been. Something about having an actual Bangladeshi, plus a serious wealth of music from the nation to discuss.
thanks for watching!
What’s great about death metal is I never know what the singers are singing so as long as the riffs are sick, language barrier ain’t no thing.
That's the great thing about ALL music.
The language of music, regardless of what language the singer is using, is that everyone can enjoy the songs even if the lyrics aren't understandable.
The Bangladeshi death metals I hear sings english. Like the bands mentioned in the vid has English lyrics. Tho I dun know much about the band satanik.
severe dementia sings in bangla@@artahikhan7e210
This was so cool. I literally had zero clue that Bangladeshi had such a vibrant and long standing medal scene. I'm looking forward to checking out some more Satanik and Eternal Armageddon on my own.
too clueless was I ....
Love metals
*Finally!*
ORATOR *getting the global recognition they most truly deserved.*
They definitely killed it at the
*"Banish The Posers Festival 2014"* where the Singaporean giants *IMPIETY* headlined and some of Bangladesh top acts such as NAFRATOR and ENMACHINED.
I was going to comment on Orator and, the first comment I read was yours!!
Banish The Posers fest?!?!
Hahahah that's incredible.
so glad this series is back... overkill global: clicks immediately!!!!
Dude this is so awesome! I’m glad you’re able to represent your culture and show off some dope metal bands!
Actually found myself in a metal gig in Bangladesh. There was one happening in a hall next to my hotel. It was all 'extreme' so not my thing but it was fun. No idea what the locals thought of a random westerner wandering around the gig. 😀
nice!
That was so well done!
Sam is really starting to come into his own as a presenter.
Phug yes.
Keep the Overkill Global coming!
we've got lots more coming your way!
Orator is the one that stoods me up. Can't wait of their reactions when you featured South Korean metal music (I forgot their subgenre). Thanks BangerTV.
Awesome. Hail Bangladesh. Thank you for spreading the word. Orator seems to be the bands band. Hail Banger TV.
Exploring these small scenes gives me a lot of excitement when im feeling bored with modern day metal. Thank you Banger Tv for this segment, it changed my future perspectives for any kind of metal. 😈
Bangladeshi metal scene is not small but relatively unknown. We literally have like 40 metal bands. But language and lack of patronage has barred it from entering the international metal scene.
Bruh Bangladeshi Metal scene is the biggest Metal scene in Asia after Japanese Metal scene. Period.
Overkill Global is awesome - love hearing about bands I'd probably never hear of otherwise. Big thumbs up.
Thanks for watching, its why we make these !
Wow ..didn't know your were Bengali. Kudos for introducing bangaldeshi metal to bangerstv.
This is truly an Awesome series🔥🔥 I am so glad this is back👍👍🤘🤘
Great to find some new stuff from all over the world!
Amazing and hella proud of my scene! If possible do another review including the mighty Jahiliyyah, Chromatic Massacre, Nafarmaan and Nekrohowl
I was getting worried you weren't going to mention Train Wreck but then you did near the end! Absolutely amazing live act - saw them perform at Bangalore Open Air where they qualified for Wacken. \,,/
This Global couldn’t come at a better time cause I was seriously hoping to find some music to go along with book I’m reading “Homeland Elegies,” by Ayyad Akthar. He is a Pakistani playwright and obviously completely separate individual countries they share similar attributes. You’re like this dark Angel superhuman Sam! Doing the METALS work my friend!! 🤘🏾😈
Orator and Powersurge sound cool af
Wow this takes me back and HOW! I remember having Severe Dementia over to Mumbai for the launch of that EP. It also featured Pakistani band Dusk on the CD. I remember the Severe Dementia guys took back their share of CDs to sell in Bangladesh but sadly they got caught at customs and all their CDs were confiscated. It was so sad but it was so great having them come over to India and play the show. Good times. A real nostalgia trip.
DUSK... haill babar
i love when a video is a video (with no advertisements) and only a video.
This is awesome, love from the UK!
Listened to Severe Dementia more than a decade a ago and was totally blown away , I still remember the track name was Dimented Dimensions. As soon as I saw Bangladesh I wad expecting their name ...loads of love and high 🤘to all my B' deshi metal heads from India
Thank you for turning me onto Orator!!
Fenris with kittens!!! Lmao !!! I love this series, it just shows how broad metal is.
Sam, dude keep doing an awesome job
Sick recommendations!!
So glad to see this. One thing about Severe Dementia and their album Epitaph of Plassey, it was Shawqui Ahmed on the vocals, Riasat replaced him post album.
Also, both guitarists from Severe Dementia, Saimum Hasan Nahian (founding member) and Samir Hafiz, also founded Powersurge. \m/
one of the best yet! thank you. so, now its time for Nepal, India and Thailand - lot of great stuff going on there 😬
Brilliant!
Just one point - the battle of Plassey was with the British East India company, not Dutch.
Thank you from Bangladesh
I would add Nafarmaan to the list as well. They're a solid black/death metal band with a killer EP!
Thank you for looking at Bangladeshi Music Industry ! Proud of you man
Also shout out to Nawabs of Destruction, some kick ass Death Metal with just the right balance of melody and agression
Love that an extreme metal band has SRV photos behind him. Nice!!!
Anyone else hearing a lot of Ihsahn in that Satanik track?
Bangladesh Rocks 🤘🤘
Please, please, pleeeeaaase do a Dir en Grey video on this channel.
Such underrated band
AGREED in my opinion Dir En Grey are as great as Nirvana or any big name out there. Kyo is an extremely talented vocalist and a performer.
Fuck yeah!!! Some Bangla Metal at last!!!
Also I would suggest everyone to listen to the Prog Death band Nawabs of Destruction.
Thanks for doing this!! Informative and super cool!!.. There are many more bands coming out from Bangladesh !!.. you should keep an eye out!!.. I've formed a heavy metal band HEEVKLAW. Hoping to put the best out there!! \m/ ..
Enjoyed this. Great job Sam.
If you ever do India, don't forget Third Sovereign
I doubt they will do India because the only reason they managed to cover Bangladesh is because they have a Bangla in their team in order to cover India they'd need someone from the scene I don't think they have any Indian staff member in their team and/or if they try to do their own research pretty sure they will get stuck with the surface level bands like Demonic Resurrection, Agni etc.
Third sovereign 🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼
@@mahamrityumjay i dont they are covering bangladeshi metal cuz they have a Bangladeshi in their staff. It’s more about a Muslim country having a metal scene. Plus as an Indian metal head we are too used to being overlooked by westerners
@@nachiketjoshi6594 True.
Thank you so much
Exalter is also a killer thrash metal band from Bangladesh,i saw them live,n they were at their next level of tightness,
Can't wait for the brutal death metal Indonesian scene.
yessssssss
I'm Bangladeshi and we LOVE Indonesian metal
Orator sound sick, will check them out for sure. The other bands are awful...
Goosebumps listening bangla on this channel 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽

You can Check out Surtur, Power of Ground, Warhound, Exalter, Minerva too.. Bangladesh has very rich underground scenario .
I'm from Bangladesh but don't live there. However, this is awesome to find out! I hope the muslim heavy population doesn't push against it like they do against journalists.
This is awesome, but what happened to the UAE episode with Dekay?
Yeah they took it down
what happened to the UAE episode?!
Probably someone messed up the schedule.
I was wondering that, too!
nice episode! what about israeli metal? there are so many fantastic bands to cover in an overkill global episode!
Awesome show, plz do an episode on Egyptian bands 🤘
N3am. Have many friends in Masr. Any recommendations?
@@cccCCCccc123ccc @CharlieCCC hell yeah I got tons of recommendations, I do a metal podcast and reviews regarding middle eastern bands and specially Egypt I would love to help you guys with that.
@@HazemMahani Shukran. I'll subscribe
@@HazemMahani What's the podcast called?
surprised how that 2020 release had a very tape type sound, sounds like they emulated that well in a modern context?
Did they took down the UAE overkill global video with Dekay?
CZcamsr who do metal shows on YT never put a video on Bangladeshi scene!! They don't even know. Whether, we have one of the most talented metal industry. And underground people need help. This kinda video will help them reaching Sweden, norway, usa, uk... And they will be patronised. Thank you for such video.
Good video, but
no mentioning of Nawabs of Destruction??
Proud bruh!🖤
The defination of the loveliest nation *BANGLADESH*
METALS OF SEMI EMOS - ❤ 🇧🇩
Do a video on the Indian Metal scene
Orator sound pretty sick
4:29 it was actually British East India Company, not Dutch
holy shit that first band
Bangladesh thrash band Exalter should deserve in this list...
I respect trainwreck what they did represent Bangladesh in wacken Germany.
But it's my opinion Trainwreck sounds like lamb of God too much...
Demonstealer Records - I see we have an India connection going on here as well \,,/
Oh, they did a split with Demonic Resurrection? Explains the Demonstealer connection (Sahil from DR runs the distro).
good video
Dude's eyes are red
Holy helll 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
Lacks Trees of Daymare ;)
battle of plassey happened between the nawab and the british east india company tho

www.reverbnation.com/powersurgebd
🇧🇩🇧🇩
do Nepali metal!
Severe dementia is the best Bangladeshi Death metal Band.
You missed ionic bond🙂
🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩
Try kaal akuma
those pupil are scary
That was British east India company not dutch
When are you going to cover Indian extreme metal? It was Indian metal bands like Kryptos who paved the way for metal in South East Asia. Why are we avoiding Indian metal scene.
I'd guess it's precisely because it's so vast, and they probably want to make sure they do it justice. Like they did China, but they picked a super specific subgenre (folk metal) -- there's just too much metal in the world lol (lucky for us!)
@@kafkapharnaum2690 They can make a 3 part documentary on Indian Rock /Metal scene. World need to know about Indian scene because it was India who brought attention to the sub continental (South East Asia ) World need to know about Rock Street Journal, Papa rock Amit Sehgal, Great Indian Rock festival, Independence Rock Festival and their contribution to metal scene in SE Asia.
@@mahamrityumjay Still the South East Asian scene is way more known world wide and stands on its own despite the Indian influence. Banger is what the community wants, a business and then their own passion. India will come but it depends how many poeple are vocal about it and also how to do it justice either with sepcific genres or regions. as lets not forghet Inida is vastly diffierent and full of many different cultures and groups. it will come just be pateint and, they arnt just avoiding it for the sake of it lolone
@@mahamrityumjay Hey, I'd watch it for sure. But like Visp said, just need to be patient, and keep being vocal about it (without accusing them of deliberatey ignoring it, cause I really doubt they are, there's really not that many episodes yet)
@@vispian7688 brother I don't know how old you are but without Indian scene there wouldn't have been a metal scene in South East Asia. I can go in details if you want. The initiative was taken by Indian organizers who organized metal and rock festivals brought international artists to the sub continent, often organized free metal festivals on grand level. The scene that you are seeing now in SEA is the result of Indian scene.
Special Mention should be THRASH and EXALTER. If you are a thrasher lister to EXALTER and THRASH
