Hooded Mergansers; fun and feisty little ducks. Their 'dos' change with their moods.

Sometimes the smaller ducks are more colorful and often seem to have more interesting temperaments. These Hooded Mergansers are some of my favorites because of their size and funny 'hairdos'. Photos taken at Huntington Beach State Park or nearby.
