Part 3. The Splice /Crafting Optimal 6

Not a longbow, nor a recurve but an Osage orange semi recurve billet bow. I’ll be drawing a pattern and splicing the billets

That's is a great idea. The horn bows' v splice design I imagine worsens the twisting on the composite bows, because it's like a dowel turning in hole. And when they use the pliable hide glue or fish bladder glue, it introduces even more give.
And since twisting is the biggest issue that makes horn bow annoying to use and own, I imagine this w splice design using ea 40 will be much better for this issue. Heck you can even eliminate the splices between the ear and ribs of the bow and just use one piece for each side.
