She missed to get to the mic for the 1st line. You can hear her voice though, because it's her backing track which she usually sings over in some numbers. It supports her voice.
Live or not live ' I don't give a shit !!!! If she is bringing joy to myself , that's all the matters to me ... Ppl are free to no go to her shows and I know for sure that she does sings live in some parts of the show .. I have been to her concerts since 2001 so .. I know what I'm talking about .. apparently u never saw madge live. she ususally lips like 3 songs. the rest is ususally all live , with used to be back ups donna (miiss her ) and niki miss her more. . that was madonna singing the first line of the song, to far away from the mic, so it picked up her voice but low. im not guna sit her and say this whole show is live, but not many are. but this is madge i know her live voice compared to studio voice 14 shows ive been too.
The train is going through India, which the chants / Cyber-raga are inspired by and are from, technically. Also, Madonna is dressed like a knight/crusader, which makes me think she's making some sort of political or social commentary on the history of India and Britain's influence. It's also mildly ironic that a knight is singing about her enjoying being a sinner, since knights in literature are pious, religious, Christ-like individuals. I could be reading too much into it.
