      My concern is about the oils lavender and the T tree oil.
      I read where it said not to use these oils around animals. They can cause bronchitis or even death. Please check into that.

      steel wool "pot mits" as they used to be called (not mitts to hold hot pot handles) have been around since my grandmother at least. Great especially for cleaning bottom outside of pots and pans. Problem is they quickly rust after wet. Suggest, if using big one as shown in this video, to cut them into usable sizes, use bit by bit, dispose of straight away because they discolor everything, like sponges stored with them, or washing-up water. If someone could invent a rust-proof one they would sell very well I think. Great to discover your channel Melissa!

    Here in Kenya, Africa it is a staple to have steel wool in the house. We use it for pots and pansade of aluminum or stainless steel. It does not damage them at all. We use it for scrubbing bathroom tiles, for removing rust, for cleaning the bottom of your iron if you have burnt sth, scrubing your sink and bathtub, it basically replaces a lot of your scrubies in the house and it comes in the size you shows in the video for 5cents or a huge massive roll that you just cut with scissors as needed for about a dollar or so which last forever.

    I don't do my own compost anymore but do save for the local garbage/scavenger. I put the scraps in the green bio bags then store in the freezer. I keep filling until up to the top then store them until garbage day. Goes out the night before or morning of pickup. Since contents are frozen the bag won't break (i had that happen storing in the refrigerator). If you have a secondary freezer in the garage or basement you can wait until you have many to put out with the garbage in the green bin. This is what I do with meat/bones too. Once a chicken is boned I put the bones and skin in a plastic bag, store in the freezer, then it goes out frozen into the garbage can. Seriously reduces the smell situation.

    Seriously, the tub shroom is the best thing ever. I've tried other stuff that just end up covering the drain and not letting the water drain out properly or just don't work. And I absolutely HATE trying to get stuff out of the drain. It's gross and goopy and nasty. My husband kept getting mad at me for clogging the drain all the time with my long hair and would refuse to clean it out sometimes. So I found that product on CZcams and it seemed to have good reviews. I'm so happy cause it works!

    • @robinholbrook6576
      @robinholbrook6576 Před 4 lety

      Angie D Well, let’s see if I can help! I hate plastic! But wicker, straw, and fabric will absorb odors from soiled clothing. Wicker and straw and metal often have bits that are sharp and can snag on lingerie or other knits. Therefore, I use plastic laundry baskets by default not so much by choice. I don’t want added work of having to wash my laundry baskets so I don’t use fabric ones! I have enough work! Lol

    a surprising tool i like is I have an old fashioned Linda Laudry Bar soap. its great for working on fabric stains and at times other cleaning tasks. super cheap and lasts seemingly forever.
