The commentary from Ryder is just awesome throughout the vlog parts and the golf parts. Also, I think the original audio like in this video is a lot better than the mics because when you talk it feels more personal and you can hear if the shot is good or bad based on the sound of the face.

Poppy Hills is tough even without the fog! I was able to play the Olympic Club in the week after the Open in 1987. The rough was cut to 2” from the 4” it had been for the Sunday finale, but everything else was the same. It was insanely hard…

Yeah I was confused at first, cuz 9 at Poppy Hills is a par 5…. And usually if match is over before the 9th they play it out on camera anyways, I was a little bummed out too!!

@@Anderson_999 in order to get a tee time @ Pebble you have to stay a minimum 2 days at The Lodge. I just played all these courses last week, Pebble, Spyglass 2x, Spanish, Poppy & MPCC.

Poppy Hills is one of my favorite golf courses. I lived in San Jose for 8 years and, as an NCGA member, was able to play the course several times. It's a Pete Dye design and the greens can be very tricky. Great content guys. Thanks for bringing back some memories of a great golf course!
The golf ball actually travels further in foggy/humid conditions. The water vapor in the air replaces nitrogen molecules, which are actually heavier than the H20 that are replacing them. This makes the air less dense, allowing the ball to cut through the air much easier.
Really? I usually tend to not hit as far and I thought it was because the grass is wet therefore not allowing it to roll as much and it's much easier to chunk it.

Play there several times back in early 2000 !!! Great golf course, home of the NCGA !!! Loved it !!! Played with great friends from Fresh Express !!! I just saw that it was renovated extensively in 2014 !!!
