III. Suite Insomnia - Glen Echo, Wistful Thinking

Here is “Glen Echo” the final movement of my recent “Suite Insomnia.” All three movements were written in one sleepless night, actually the night before we recorded these videos! Sometimes the best things you do are the times you don’t overthink it.
Glen Echo is a small ravine park that is at the end of the street of my childhood home in Columbus, OH. To have an area with wooded terrain is something that I never thought about growing up, but the longer I’ve been in NYC, the more I appreciate and need these natural refuges from time to time. In the last year, I made several trips to Ashokan reservoir and the Catskills have become a meaningful place for me reflect and recharge. It’s also a place where I’ve enjoyed shooting photos and video as a hobby where I have no idea what I’m doing, so you can enjoy those shots here. I see why every videographer has those gyroscopic supports! 🤣
This return to nature, and especially in the Catskills region has been a recurring theme in my writing and I have a composition “Ashokan” that will be included on my upcoming record “The Long Middle,.” which will be released on 7.30.2021 on Outside In Music.
