Vietnam War, (1954-75), a protracted conflict that pitted the communist government of North Vietnam and its allies in South Vietnam, known as the Viet Cong, against the government of South Vietnam and its principal ally, the United States. Called the “American War” in Vietnam (or, in full, the “War Against the Americans to Save the Nation”), the war was also part of a larger regional conflict (see Indochina wars) and a manifestation of the Cold War between the United States and the Soviet Union and their respective allies.

My grandma was actually born during the war, she described it as the most scary experience she ever had, she told me
she was shopping, then she went home, she immediately heard the warning from the sirens, she hid in a small burrow, the bombs were louder than a thousand cars beeping at once, she had to abandon her parents, all her toys, her home, destroyed, she still remembers her first home before the war, it’s a few blocks away from our house

Phil_M3lon, I know you haven’t done this before, but can you make the Tangiwai train disaster. On Christmas Eve, an express train was moving along the tracks. The bridge it was crossing collapsed. A man in his car witnessed the collapsing of the bridge. He knew an express train was coming…
He took a torch then ran out of his car. He screamed ‘STOP THE TRAIN!’ ‘STOP IT!!’ The train was to close and he had to jump of the tracks still flashing his torch, the drivers pulled the brakes but it was already to late. The train collapsed straight into the water. Few carriages stayed on the tracks. The cold flowing river took the lives of 151 people. For some time bodies flowed down the river with its current, eventually. Some of these bodies beached up.
It remains the 8th deadliest train disaster in the world.
RIP to all who lost their lives in this horrific disaster.
