- Have you ever wondered what it takes to become a travel nurse? In this video I will go step by step through the entire process of how to become a travel nurse. It can seem overwhelming at first, so my aim is to ease some of your worries by answering some commonly asked questions.
We will go over what the difference between a staff nurse and travel nurse is, what is required to apply, tips to set yourself apart from other applicants, as well as which documentation is needed once you get offered your first job!

Something you mentioned was networking while in nursing school. How did you go about doing that? Did you express interest in possibly traveling in the future and they helped you with that?
What do you think about local contracts? Would they be sustainable enough to continue long term in a smaller city? Or do you contracts it more as an opportunity to travel?

What agencies do you suggest? Also, is LTACH experience acceptable to travel?
Yes you can travel in LTACH! You just would find assignments that are equivalent to the experience you have had in a more long term type facility! I have worked with Medical Solutions, AMN (Onward Health)
