I knew about this spot weeks ago cause this is where I got 2 shiny Charcadets (got a friend who traded me an Auspicious Armor so I can get both evos). Also, with a Bug sandwich, you can get an isolated spawn of Nymble
Wish I knew that /: I was trying to have my lead Pokémon kill a Chansey and was confused as to why he wasn’t attacking it. I didn’t pay enough attention to the Chansey itself to see if it was a shiny. He wouldn’t kill it so I just left it alone.
The hilarious thing I had last week, was my mon refuse to attack a pink Shellos. Which was weird since the color doesn't seem different (Shiny is more salmon/light orange). Turns out there was a Shiny Wingull hanging around behind it. 😅
I don't know that about the zoom feature! Thanks for sharing that. That is necessary for little mons that we need to check one by one. Would have helped more if the Shiny at least sparkle (like in LGPE, or even better, with that adrenaline sound of PLA), but the Zoom is still helpful.
If you climb above the ice shrine to the flat spot with the trainer, you can get mudbray, pre evo for lowkix, flittle and everything in this video beside charcadet
I had kinda bad luck finding the Charcadets here but I eventually got the 3 I needed. I can't speak on Mankey because I got the shiny on the way to the spot lol. I was like 30 seconds into the sandwich.

For people who still cant get to it, just fast travel from the shrine next to it, and then drop down from the ledge and that patch of rock is there. Very easy
They can but it's super rare. So rare that it's actually more worthwhile to go somewhere that dusk lycanroc will spawn and save your game just before dusk and make the sandwich. You only get 3 mins to hunt then have to reset and set your switches time back, but it's still a quicker way to get shiny dusk form since own tempo is rare on top of finding a shiny with it
You can’t change it to own tempo if I’m not mistaken it has to be already own tempo when caught. I will say I did a rockruff out break and caught 8 with own tempo lol
Caught two random shiny Rockruff, second one had own tempo, but forgot to save, they were at to separate times, my first one Clue, is a Midday Lycanroc now, but the second one I named Freki, I lost because my game crashed, along with a random shiny Makuhita, both within the same hour at that, heartbreaking, I was going to give my brother the Own tempo rockruff 1:25 THIS IS ACTUALLY THE SPOT I FOUND CLUE, I was trying to hunt misdreavus from a Outbreak here, then a blue puppy appeared
This looked so promising! 30 min on mankey, 30 min on rockruff, and nothing for either 😭 At first, would only get 6-10 spawns. Adjusted my location and more popped up, but never a shiny. 😔
Easy hunting: Park somewhere like a cliff that is tall enough that doesn't have pokemon spawn at the bottom, only in your area. Have Hasty Meowscarada auto battle.
Serious question from a shiny hunting noob, how is there method better than use auto battle to defeat them, as if my Gallade doesn't attack, it'll be a shiny? I mean here for Charcadet and Gasly
Have you heard of the Masuda Method ? You can breed for shinies. You breed two Pokémon from different languages. There's two ways you can breed. Breed two Pokémon that belong to the same egg group OR. Use the easy way. Just use a Ditto. Ditto can breed with almost any Pokémon. (Except Legendary, mythical, baby and paradox ) You can get a foreign Ditto in trades, like the GTS, link trades, surprise trades. In Scarlett and Violet, just put the Pokémon you want to breed in your party and set up a picnic. If you want to just breed Charcadet make sure to box your other Pokémon. Check the basket by the table every 2-3 minutes to see if there's an egg. You can also make sandwiches that boost your egg production and hatching time. Now on to hatching. In addition to sandwiches you can use a Pokémon with the abilities Flame Body , Magma Armor or Steam Engine to speed up hatching time. Put the eggs in your party and drive around. Most players hatch 5 eggs at a time. Breeding for a shiny is one of the easiest methods but it is slow. You may get your shiny on the first egg or on the 1000th. Good luck!

I must be horribly unlucky as I have done this more times then i can count now and still cant find a Charcadet shiny at all. I also have never had a shiny spawn at all when using the Herba Mystica. how many times do you need to reset usually. will take any advice. this is the sandwich I have been using. 2 Red Pepper 1 Prosciutto 1 Green Pepper 1 Onion 1 Yellow Pepper 1 Bitter Herba Mystica 1 Spicy Herba Mystica
unfortunately, the RNG isn't always favourable. I've had times where its taken me hours and sometimes it happens in 10 mins. Sometimes its just luck of the draw.
I opened the game and went for the area so i could hunt Mankey. As I arrived, there, a shiny Mankey. No sandwich, no outbreaks, only Shiny Charm. Amazing.

For hard to see Pokémon, I prefer to use the auto battle function. If my hunter refuses to kill a Pokémon then I know it's a shiny.

Bro, do the Rockruff have a chance to spawn with the Own Tempo ability too? The one that enables it to evolve into Dusk Lycanroc?

While doing the Masuda Method, do the females have to be foreign while breeding with English males, or can it be the other way around?
So long as one pokemon is from a different country the masuda method will work. Gender doesnt matter.
