Am I the only one who sees Li3S on the upper charger and LP3S on the bottom charger? Those are LiPo batteries and the upper charger is set to charge LiIon batteries.
I think Li-Ion vs Li-Poly at the starting point in the charging cycle
and certainly the incredibly slow rate will not make a significant
difference with a properly working charger and battery pack.
You do show however, how critical it is for the scientist/tech to fully document and double-check every step in real time and not just assume he or she has set it up properly every time. One should even note when one plugs the power cord in and whether using AC or the coaxial power connector...and if using the coaxial power connector then the voltage and amps capacity of the power supply MUST be documented as an underpowered power supply could royally bollocks-up the charger's performance. The power application must be specified because the instructions on the unit clearly state power must be OFF BEFORE connecting or disconnecting the cell(s). Sloppy programming algorithms could be negatively impacted by not following power sequencing requirements in many devices...the B6 may be no different in this regard.
From bottom of charger: "Disconnect the supply before making or breaking the connections to the battery."
(NOTE: I am using a B6AC v2, so there may be parametric and functional differences due to coding and/or component differences. However, overall I believe my conclusions remain the same (unlikely to be any MEANINGFUL differences in how v1 vs v2 handles charging LiPoly vs LiIon cells) in this mode)
On the B6AC v2 I've routinely charged my Li-ion 18650 cells (1s1p config) using the Li-Poly "charging" preset in order to charge the cells to 4.2V. Other than a different tertiary voltage (~4.20VDC) I saw very little difference in HOW the charger seemed to treat the Li-Ion cells during charging whether on the Li-Ion or Li-Poly setting. Observed operations, times, voltages and currents I observed seemed the same and I conclude that other than the tertiary voltage LiPoly cells (~4.2VDC) and Li-Ion (~4.1VDC) cells are treated essentially the same by the B6AC v2 while charging using U.S. AC power (~115VAC)

Another comment on the test method...the author should have performed the same test with battery packs swapped between the chargers. This would help ensure any differences weren't due to a difference in the battery pack (which could be due to faulty or unbalanced cell(s) in the pack, or manufacturing issues like using a totally different manufacturer's cells or using non-matched cells, etc). Although he claims:
"Two identical batteries.
(3s 2650 mAh 20c)"
I think he is actually ASSUMING they are identical when they could in fact be very different (see above paragraph for just a couple of examples).
Ideally, one would also run tests with swapped battery power AND balance cables...although the B6's pre-charging test/verification step SHOULD detect any flaws and prevent operation, but it also relies on the human to make the final go/no-go decision.
I used the same two chargers on hybrid batteries and I would definitely stick with SkyRC. The other may be OK for general use, but SkyRC seems more accurate, controlled, and faster.

I have a clone just like that one and it works perfect , after I found out it was a clone I also bought the authentic imax B6 mini , it has a few more features and the size is nice but charged my lipo batteries identical to the clone charger so somethings definitely wrong with yours no charger should take 10 hours to charge any battery...
Then you are lucky. The fakes have a lot of issues and voltages are off sometimes. The components in there are crap compared to the original ones. Not something I would risk burning my house down over tbh.

My fake charger charges pretty damn fast and I calibrated it now it stops at exactly the voltage I want, I think your fake charger is either faulty or it has been damaged
I have the clone and so far works perfectly, charges very fast on balance 👌🏼
My original ones (I've 4 of them) working for 2 or more years but 3 of them has faulty fans. But fake ones require some mosfet renew operation. Change the mosfets. (değiştir düzelecek...) kolaylıklar dilerim. Video için teşekkürler.

Adaptors are the same in the video and setup the same for both of them :Li-Po Balance Charge mod 11.1v(3s) 2.6a . Not fake.

I've got 3 clone imax b6 chargers since 2016 but i am lucky. My chargers works great like your skyrc imax b6. Fake or original doesnt matter. You should look like a baby your electronic components.

Ja. I thought the same. I have a clone one and it did that to me. I was going to throw it away but later I realized that the adapter had a faulty zener diode and a faulty capacitor. That caused the problem. Due to that my batteries were never fully charged, well, to be honest never waited more than 10 hours like this dude.
I question the maker of the video here and his knowledge of these batteries. You should never "charge" multi-cell LiPos, you need to BALANCE charge.
I have one of these fakes and they do "work" but yeah, dont see any point in complaining, it was a 1/3 of the price. If I want to protect my batteries, i do two things: balance, and check. Yours is clearly broken, as mine charges just fine, but comes out inaccurate (it overcharges by about 4%.) so I compensate for it.
I highly recommend that you stop CHARGING these batteries, no matter what charger you use, and instead always do BALANCE charging. Otherwise, you might as well use that cheapo USB thingy you get free with RTR cars and boats etc.

So what? They are both lithium. The only matters on this test is the charge current and in this test the fake didn't provided enough currents to the batteries. No one preventing you for buying fakes but you are the one who taking risk.
@@ibringthelastwords1358 I also had a fake imax b6 but it was charging properly and at a right charging current. But it was full of bugs and glitches and the discharge current was only 0.5A. Not 1A. I don't recommend buying a fake imax b6
I have a IMAX Mini and it is great! I charged a battery fast and the end voltage was spot on with what my volt meter said. The fake I have , S*%&^%#!
The clone must be broken. When I balance charge a 12000 mAh pack from 3,5V to 4,2 V its done in 4 hours. Not as fast as it should with 6 Amps, but balancing takes extra time.

It's definitely "skyrc imax b6 mini" because it can charge 6 amps and it also has a fan to prevent it from getting warmed up.
What I was asking is assuming for the moment both are NOT clones, is there a difference in features between the mini B6 and the full sized B6? I want to buy one

Okay,The most obvious differences are, iMax b6 = max 5a charge / iMax b6 mini =6a charge , iMax b6 = cooling fan (NO!)/ iMax b6 mini =cooling fan (YES!).The iMax b6 mini was last produced.
OK I guess the the 6 amps would be the major feature difference. I thought the B6 V2 had a fan? I was also looking at the Turnigy charger that sort of looks like the B6 as well.

My recommendation is to not buy a clone product but if you want the suggestion recommendation is to buy a 12 volt 7a 84w adapter.(Minha recomendação é não comprar um produto clone, mas se você quiser a recomendação de sugestão é comprar um adaptador de 12 volts 7a 84w.)

This doesn't change anything. Balance cable is installed in both of them and balance connection is open in their settings.

I recommend you to crush your copy without ever dealing with it, instead take the original imax b6 mini.
