  • The Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 is a compact luxury performance SUV that balances comfort, practicality and performance. While it's not the full-blown AMG model with the twin-turbo V8, it still has plenty of performance to keep drivers entertained. In this review, autoTRADER.ca's Road Test Editor Dan Ilika goes through the SUV's pros and cons, driving dynamics, fuel economy, cargo room, comfort and more.

    Should have spoken more about the tires juddering/crunching when turning slowly (parking lot…) - bad problem and about the turbo lag.

      @Doug Kippen Thanks for watching, though it seems like we’ve got a case of mistaken identity on our hands, because I’ve never worked for CR! Cheers!

    I beg to differ on the title. If you have the $$$, I would certainly opt for the GLC 63. There is nothing comparable to an MB 4.0 V8. And this coming from a BMW owner.

    How does this car sound without the performance exhaust ? And can you buy the Performance exhaust afterwards ?

    • @timlisha4516
      @timlisha4516 Před 3 lety

      if u wanna know what it sounds like without the AMG performance exhaust u can check some of the exhaust videos for the 2017 or previous pre-face lift versions of the GLC 43 since they didn't offer a performance exhaust option before the face lift (except for 2018 I think). It does sound a lot quieter without the performance exhaust

      It sounds good without it, but not nearly as loud and pop/burbly with it. I highly recommend getting it for the simple fact that you can turn it on and off.

      Congrats! Yes, premium brands in general tend to nickel and dime buyers with pricey packages.

      Even the sales manager was downplaying some of the options like the heads-up display, garage door opener, Auto parking and the CF trim, the Premium package has a few goodies but NOT having Apple carplay and satellite radio is a big plus for me.
      The 10.25" touchscreen comes in the Premium package- so $$$6,200.
      All I optioned was the Selenite Grey Magno (matte) paint, Dark Ash trim and red seat belts.
      What's the difference between the standard Sport and the Performance exhausts, have you had any experience?

    I'm driving GLC 300 since 2019(bought new) and it has no car play or android auto. Everything else regarding the car is good. Mercedes service is ugly, I'm 30 years old and they treat me like a piece of crap when I buy it and when I go for service. I would highly recommend checking BMW, Audi and other competitors before settling for Mercedes.

      @@Dundun4793 I'm not sure. They push car to me and I was feeling very like forced into the deal. I learned my lesson from that situation.. Car is ok overall just had 1 moment with strange behaviour when I hit the gas but car don't go and something clicks in the engine instead, when I press gas again driving continue without issues. I think maybe I was yong(29 years old) and maybe I was dresses not expensive enough(I had mass usage brands but no cheap china items). This was corporate dealership. I hope that car will be in good shape close to the end of lease and maybe I will buy it out, if any mechanical issues I will dump it.

    • @random5850
      @random5850 Před 3 lety +4

      That's unfortunate. It might just be the dealership you go to. I don't think you can really stereotype Mercedes as a brand because any brand can have bad workers in the dealership. Is there a different Mercedes dealer that you can go to instead?

    • @teresaringow
      @teresaringow Před 2 lety +2
