Windmill Monsoon Disaster On AMERICAS LARGEST highways!!!

- We got the call while Wrecker Rick was out of town that a tractor with a flatbed trailer carrying windmill bases hydroplanes after a monsoon and laid the trailer over and lost the load. Once we arrived on scene we were able to get the truck and trailer out of the highway before it got dark and came back the next morning to get the large windmill bases that came off the trailer and landed in some trees. Fenner, Chris, Caleb and De Niro load up the cargo and clean up the mess just in time before the next storm starts to roll in.

Not sure what kind of “windmill” pipe that is. Turbine towers are 80+ meters long, 11 -16ft in diameter. and you won’t lift them like that. Not to mention not pulled on a standard flat with multiple joints.

An easy trick when pulling long loads like that, if you want to pull it on straight, hook it like you did, but hook up your drag winch, and keep tension as the trailer is pulling and it will stay in the centre without needing blocking

Our tax dollars working for us. AZ DOT doesn't believe in maintaining roads after they're built, even if it means people getting killed. I-40 (in this video) and 93 are in abysmal condition, yet ADOT spends all their time on Phoenix freeways and adding flex lanes to I-17.🙄🤦🏻♀️🤬

Honestly, with a better equipment, these few tubes, I guess diameter 20 - 25 inches and wall thickness ca, 12 - 14 mm. Weight is ridiculous. In my professional life I worked for the construction of plants in the petrochemical industry, as a senior site manager. Even in 2018, at the age of 65, I was still traveling professionally in Saudi Arabia, Russia, Tunisia, Libya, Turkey and Romania. We built among others incinerator plants and large flare plants. Flares with 230 meters height. And you have problems to pull so few pipes from the field, ridiculous. You are missing a real truck crane, where you complete the current and good equipment. I wish you much success and that the guys, after each job, go home healthy.
