  • Sorry for the delay! Highlights include Lafrenière's goals, assists, shots & passes, and hits during the 2018 Hlinka-Gretzky Cup in Alberta, Canada and the 2019 World Junior Championship in BC, Canada.
    Look out for #11 and #22 (but I've tried to highlight him in the WJC clips).
    Lafrenière is 2020 NHL Draft eligible.

    People saying he is not the clear cut #1 in 2020 is just because they haven't seen him play in the last few months or so and have watch the Hlinka 2019 with other eligible 2020 prospects. Just wait till he puts up 2+ pts/game this season. #1 in 2020 hands down!

    O Glorious Hockey Gods, we beg of you not to vindicate Eugene Melnyk and grant him the rights to draft LaFreniere or Byfield next year. Please do not allow Melnyk to get away with his demolition of the Ottawa Senators and be granted an opportunity at a Stanley Cup. Such soulless and avaricious men should not know the taste of the ultimate glory.
    In the name of Lord Stanley, McJesus, and the Holy Alfredsson, amen.

    Watching these replays it looks like he's regressed since joining the Rangers which leads me to believe it's 100% mental. Kid needs to play with confidence and he often doesn't as he goes on dry spells and he's always looking to pass rather than shoot.

    Reminds me a bit of Huberdeau with his spot on the PP. Although higher end skill/potential to be superstar. Not sure on Forsberg comparison but he is powerful in the legs like #21 was but forsberg is on of all-time greats. Higher end skill than Behn to but he commands the puck like BenN does. Looks like his feet and or speed need to improve a bit to be a super star in the NHL.

      Club Shay Shay shooting of Tavares, skates and playmakes like Mackinnon. He may be physical in this video but I seriously think he’s going to be mostly skill at the NHL level. David Pastrnak was physical in these tournaments and he doesn’t hit in the nhl

      @bigwhite06  Před 5 lety +2

      While its true that Lafreniere is very good, i also include shots & all-around play, even for McDavid, because I/others want to see how players generate their chances and play away from the puck.
      Points-only highlight videos are very quick and easy to make but they don't accurately show a player's complete game. While a 10 min video isn't going to be as accurate as watching all his shifts in 10 games, i still hope viewers can get a more informed impression of the player's game.
